"SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD"

	Mat 6:33    

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.{ Mat 6:33 NKJV}

OPENING PRAYER

Awesome Creator and Father, we are granted by Your will and Grace the privilege of sojourning on this earth for a very short period of time. Through the 70, 80, or 90 plus years allotted, remove the scales on our eyes so as to see clearly the words YOU wrote on our hearts long before we were created. Grant us an addiction to place You and the Kingdom First and foremost in all our routines. We pray in the name of Jesus the Christ, AMEN

MESSAGE

We learn, --sometimes subliminally,-- how things are properly ordered, that is to say, this piece comes first, and that next section is inserted, and the other thing is attached last. Auto mechanics, aircraft pilots, doctors, lawyers, even tax collectors all have a routine and a special order of function that they all use to accomplish the task at hand. To mix up some of these tried and tested check list orders can really impede progress or even result in injury and death!

 

The manner, order, and priorities in the conduct of our lives was, and is, and will always be directed and commanded by Almighty God. Imagine our Lord and Creator as the Master Conductor of our eternal celestial orchestra. As he moves the baton, we quickly examine the Holy Scripts that lie open on our fleshly music stands. We apply the notes with exactness following the movement of His mighty will.

 

The music ---as it flows through the whole church ---causes the ground to rumble with the low frequencies, and birds to take flight when hearing the highs.

In the harmony of a billion perfectly pitched notes, a single sour, misplaced, or out of tune instrument or player can ruin the whole performance. The whole of the order, from tune-up to the final bow is vital to the whole kingdom. Always seek the Kingdom first!

 

Do not be anxious then, saying, 'what shall we eat? or what shall we drink? or with what shall we clothe ourselves? For all these things the Gentiles eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. {Mat 6: 31-34 NASB}

SUMMARY

It is by divine design that all of our fleshly en devours and trails we follow leads back to one common power that surpasses all others and is so very under utilized. The power of prayer is the very act that initiates communication with the Supreme Creator of the Universe. It is through prayer that we seek and we find His Kingdom, and become immediate witness to His righteousness, His glory.

 

We have been taught from Sunday School that prayer always comes before any important undertaking. Even before meals. We should pray upon rising in the morning, with a continuing monologue with Jesus and a concluding prayer of thanksgiving at the hour of sleep. The more you communicate with the Lord, the more He fills you with HIM. To be filled to the brim with the living Holy Spirit is the goal we all should be pursuing.

 

Prayer combined with Holy Scripture forms this unbreakable bond, through Jesus the Christ, that paves the way to the Kingdom; Then [Jesus] lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: "Blessed are you poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God." {Luk 6:20 NKJV}

 

Seek the Kingdom FIRST, and FIRST in Prayer; Jesus said in John 3:3, NKJV: "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."

In our daily lives, pursuing our routine and not so routine activities, let us all be ever so committed to pray FIRST and seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things will be added to you.

Our routines become habits. Habits do not form quickly, and don't go away without great effort. Retrain yourself and develop a habit to ALWAYS SEEK THE KINGDOM FIRST, today, tomorrow and forever!

 

CLOSING PRAYER

O' Holy Spirit that resides in us, guide us, we pray, to be consistent and with Holy purpose to habitually seek Your favor in all that we do. From the moment we stir from our slumber in the mornings to the closing prayers at bed time, lead us, O Lord, grant us the words that only our souls can utter, and cause us to be addicted to this Holy routine each and every day. In the name of Jesus the Christ, AMEN.

"WISDOM CALLS"

Pro 1:20 Wisdom calls aloud outside; she raises her voice in the open squares. {Pro 1:20 NKJV}

OPENING PRAYER

Limitless Author of all Creation, thank-You for gathering us together in fellowship and worship on this Holy day. Grant us open ears, hearts, mind and souls to receive Your wise message. Guard the lips of the preacher as the truth of scripture is delivered in Your glory through Jesus, Your son, Amen.

MESSAGE

Did you know that Wisdom, as written of in Proverbs, is feminine? Listen to our anchor verse; Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares. {Pro 1:20 NKJV} Verse 21 expands the premise as I read, She cries out in the chief concourses, at the openings of the gates in the city she speaks her words, "How long--you simple ones--will you love simplicity?" The statement would lead a reasonable person to the value of having Wisdom. It accuses those who have no Wisdom, nor have any interest in having such, end up being shallow, ineffective, simpletons, unable to understand the basic requirements of a productive life.

My own mother and my two grandmothers were known as women of great WISDOM throughout their lives. Kids growing up inside and outside the family had access to superb, solid and sound counsel from these ladies. Secrets that were told them were kept, advice given was effective and functional. These recommendations were always served with a generous helping of the Bible; not unlike the desert following a good meal.

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, WISDOM is: The ability to use your knowledge and experience to make good decisions and judgments.

Growing up I learned about WISDOM, but it seemed each lessons value was learned only after-the-fact of an event that did not turn out very well. I had just turned 13 and wanted to do something nice for my mom, she was always a hard worker and needed a break. So, with my prized "Western Flyer" bike, off I went to Safeway about two and a half blocks from the house.

Mom had armed me with a shopping list and a five dollar bill -- Off I went. To my surprise, everything fit in a large double paper sack, and the bill was 25 cents less than five dollars. Mounting my FLYER, I got up to speed and went into hands free mode {something that I was very good at} Things went well right up and until I was nearly at the house when one of the things in the sack that was liquid, shifted. That movement was all it took for me to loose control and down we went, Bike & kid!

The bag stayed upright and I lost some skin on my knee, and the fender on the Flyer was bent, but the sack survived. Dad was home when I arrived, and when he saw me he had to ask. I told him. He replied "Well, son, that was probably not a wise decision to ride hands free with a sack of groceries, was it?" No Sir, was my reply.

When I later joined the Army and was about halfway through basic training, I came up with this idea that if I just raised up a bit on my elbows, I would get through the low-crawl-pit faster. The barbed wire strung across was about 5 inches above my back. Up on my elbows, I still had about 2 inches to spare. Who knew that in the middle of the pit the wire was 3 inches lower for about a yard. Just enough to snag me good at the halfway point. I was stuck! There was no turning over, moving to the side, lifting the wire on my own, and I was bleeding because of the barbs.

The Drill Sergeant was quickly where I was and sarcastically shouted, "Well look here...a private who thinks he is smarter than the rest." Hows that working out for ya?" I didn't answer. He raised the wire off of me and ordered me to continue to the finish fully on my belly. I did. When getting up vertical, the DI asked me, "Well, well, Private Thompson, You have demonstrated how unwise it is to raise up under the wire...Not a lot of Wisdom huh? "Ah..No Sergeant...'

"Go see the medic"!!

Lets look at that definition of Wisdom again; WISDOM is: The ability to use your knowledge and experience to make good decisions and judgments.

How do we receive or increase the wisdom that the Lord richly gives many? Does the Bible help us on this issue? Oh YES! Turn to James Chapter One, and read from verses five and Six; If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. {Jas 1: 5-6 NKJV}

Throughout Holy Scripture, God points to WISDOM over and over again. Here is just a sample:

O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions-- {Psa 104:24 NKJV}

The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens. {Pro 13:19 NKJV}

Daniel answered and said: "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His. {Dan 2:20 NKJV}

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! {Rom 11:33 NKJV

An even quicker and more direct source is the power of prayer; Lord Almighty hear my pleading to be filled and re-filled with Your great and wondrous WISDOM in Jesus, Amen. The sincerity of your prayer will determine the success and quantity of wisdom in the Lord's gift. We are greatly encouraged by our Lord and Maker to develop the wisdom that He readily delivers simply for the asking.

SUMMARY

One last look at our definition: WISDOM is: The ability to use your knowledge and experience to make good decisions and judgments.

The Lord provides us with a basic load of wisdom in our youth. As we graduate on the ladder of learning and seasoning, we must replenish our wisdom applying new abilities and experiences that further become guard-rails on our sojourn here on earth. Even Jesus, the author of wisdom, grew up attending to to the Holy Art of good judgments and decisions thru WISDOM; And the child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him. {Luk2:40 NKJV}

Through wisdom, the very grace of God can be upon you too!

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, thank-You for Your Son, and for the wisdom He brought with Him to share with us while He was on this earth in the same flesh that we wear. He taught us, by His example, how to be wise and productive in bringing glory to our Creator and Lord. To make good choices and to love one another in the name of Jesus the Christ, AMEN

"PARDON, DIVINE"

OPENING PRAYER

Lord God, we are ever so thankful to be gathered in fellowship and worship on this Holy day. Open our ears, hearts and souls to Your message. Guide the lips of the preacher in speaking the truth of Your mighty Word in Jesus the Christ, AMEN

MESSAGE

During this past decade, we have seen a huge increase of the use of Executive Pardons. In years past, the majority of pardons were issued toward the tail-end of a term of service. Other occasions where the mercy of pardons might increase have historically been connected to major holidays such as Christmas. The past decade we have seen sky-high numbers, masses of pardons being cranked out with one political party seemingly trying to out do the other side through pardon volume.

A pardon is a government decision to allow a person to be relieved of some or all of the legal consequences resulting from a criminal conviction. A pardon may be granted before or after conviction for the crime, depending on the laws of the jurisdiction. -{Wikipedia} Pardons were invented in the Bible; For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age. {Titus 2:11-12 NASB}

In bible history, pardons were known as MERCY, or FORGIVENESS coming from God;   Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!  They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance. {Psa 89:15 NKJV}

Further, in the New Testament, the word SALVATION comes to mind.

In some of the old Puritan Daily Readings, from c. 1558-c. 1758, Scottish Editor Randall Pederson writes, "Pardon sweetens all mercies. [While] Other mercies are a ring, but Pardon is the diamond in it". According to the Scottish PDR --"I have temporal mercies AND A PARDON TOO!"

Western churches today are filled with what I call "Secular-Christians". Tender souls that have said the prayer, agreed with the words,  got the T-SHIRT  but never opened their heart to receive the PARDON and experience true change that can only come from God Himself. Its like wearing a diamond-less ring, its only for show. Pray for them! Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly Pardon. {Isa 55:7 NASB}

We all, everyone of us, remain today as convicted capital sinners. This world is full of sin laden folks who have been granted, by God's grace, a full unrestricted PARDON that once and for all time, releases us from the Eternal Sentence of Execution passed down to us by Adam and cleans us of our sins.

SUMMARY

The Father of all has offered this gift of grace, this SALVATION, to everyone who will call the name of His only begotten Son, JESUS the CHRIST by confessing with the mouth that JESUS is LORD. Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in unchanging love. {Mi 7:18 NASB}

Our Lord granted every human soul on this planet a full pardon through salvation in Jesus the Christ. We are saved by Grace alone, in Faith alone, through Jesus alone, according to Holy Scripture, all for the Glory of God alone.

(PDR): "For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved (pardoned) by His life."

{Rom 5:10 KJV}

[Jesus] was crucified to death on the cross, and rose following three days to resurrected life anew, taking His rightful seat to the right hand of Almighty God! And that HE, JESUS, is returning as KING of KINGS; His arrival is very close.

Have you received the DIVINE PARDON? Has your eternity already begun? If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. {1 Jn 1:9 NASB}

Quoting now from the Puritan Daily Reader (PDR) "Pardon sweetens all afflictions. A frown with a pardon is better than a thousand smiles without it."

CLOSING PRAYER

Forgive us O' Mighty Father as we repent for being lax in giving thanksgiving to You for the gift of Grace and of pardon in the manner of salvation. Let us be humble and attentive before Your throne, as we put to use that which You have given us, wisdom, courage, stamina, boldness, patience and love. And for the greatest of gifts, that of Your forgiving heart in the name of Jesus, AMEN.

OPENING PRAYER

Awesome and powerful Creator, we humbly deliver thanksgiving for gathering us together on this Holy Day. Every day of every week we learn and grow as we hear, read, and study Your Word. Today is no exception. Open our ears, hearts and souls to Your message as You guide the lips of Your preaching servant. All of this in the precious name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ, AMEN.

MESSAGE

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. According to Galatians Chapter 5 and verse 22; Against such there is no law! 

 The fruit of the spirit is of GOD. Likewise the fruit of the devil is of Satan! The fruit of the flesh is----ME, MYSELF, AND I. 

The Word of God recorded in Holy Scripture teaches us how to differentiate and recognize others who have been adopted into the celestial family of the Lord. Likewise we also learn to spot those who, in all likelihood are enslaved in the deep den of deception hosted by pure evil, also known as Satan.  

The Prince of Darkness (aka: Lucifer) has had thousands of years to master the art of deception. He has excelled in learning how to manufacture replicas of just about everything that GOD has made in order to deceive and redirect mankind's attention AWAY from the Lord as he overwhelms the fleshly senses, while attacking the weaknesses of humans. We have a LOT of weaknesses!! Satan is really good at exploiting those failures.

As this Blacksmith of Hate works to copy that which GOD has made, he has never, ever been successful in creating EXACT copies. He can't do it! Everything that Satan replicates contains an error or several errors. These mistakes are pretty easy to spot, but often overlooked in the dazzling light of deception.  

There is a reason that the word LOVE is first on Galatians list of Fruit of the Spirit; the devil cannot grasp the concept of love. He is incapable of loving or being loved. He is capable, however, in luring humans using another four lettered word of mayhem, --LUST and he is remarkably proficient in its use.  

Lets define what Love is: ALMIGHTY GOD  

Yes, God is love: and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him. --{1Jn4:16 NKJV} The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given to us. God invented LOVE. He is the master of LOVE. To you . . . those who believe....he is precious. --We love him, because he first loved us. The love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus, that if one died for all, then all died: and that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live to themselves, but to him who died for them, and rose again. --{2Cor 5:14-15 NKJV}  

You yourselves are taught of God to love one another.--This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.--Above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins.--Walk in love, as Christ also loved us, and gave himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma.

SUMMARY

Jesus says; You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A Good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them! {Mat 7:16-20 NKJV}  

The fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such there is no law! --GAL. 5:22.  

Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been pored out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. {Rom 5:5 NKJV}  

Because GOD is LOVE, and LOVE is GOD, you as a believer and a member of His eternal family absolutely must reflect LOVE as the first fruit in your basket. Once the Holy Spirit entered your body, Love became permanently anchored in You as a reflection of He who saved you!  

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love HIM because He loved us first! {1 Jn 4:18-19 NKJV}

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, on this continuing sojourn of the flesh on earth, we struggle daily with our limited ability to fully grasp the immense grandeur of Your creation, and the universe encompassing our tiny Orb. One day, when our invitation to travel home arrives and our eyes see you as you truly are, at that very moment, Your Love that You created will enable us to understand a million mysteries resulting in an ongoing thirst for more. Thank-You Lord Jesus, AMEN

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
