THE EVERLASTING FATHER

"Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! "I and the Father are one. - If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;  but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father."--Deu 6:4, Joh 10:30, Joh 10:37-38

Philip *said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."  Jesus *said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? - So they [the Pharisees] " were saying to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father; if you knew Me, you would know My Father also."--Joh 14:8-9,Joh 8:19

Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You,- "I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. - And again, "I WILL PUT MY TRUST IN HIM." And again, "BEHOLD, I AND THE CHILDREN WHOM GOD HAS GIVEN ME."   Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil. --Joh 17:1,Heb 2:13-14,Joh 17:6

As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors.--Isa 53:11-12

Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am."       "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you."- He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. - For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form.--Joh 8:58,Rev 1:8,Exo 3:14,Col 2:9,Col 1:17

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.   All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.--Joh 1:1-3

'He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.   'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"-Rev 3:21-22

MY CUP RUNNETH OVER

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; -- You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.-Psa 23:4-5

Our Mighty Creator sees in real time all of the events unfolding here on this Earth. The COVID, the RIOTS and deaths, the hurricanes, the global anxiety, the precious souls sequestered behind walls. Our Lord is a Merciful God. As I write this missive, His Spirit is guiding my Spirit pointing to Holy Scripture that He wishes to share with each of you:

O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!  -- O fear the LORD, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want. The LORD'S loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. -- They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. -Psa 34:8-9, Lam 3:22-23

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. -- Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.-- But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.-Eph 1:3, Php 4:11, 1Ti 6:6

And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. -- Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever.

Amen.-Php 4:19-20

BEFORE ALL THINGS

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.- He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.-Joh 1:1,-Col 1:17

From the first verse of Genesis all the way to the end of Revelation runs a wondrous silver and gold thread. As it goes along, its path is absolutely straight. Never sagging. Never listing one direction or another. It remains unalterable, uninterrupted, and constant without any deviation. This thread is JESUS!  "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."- Rev 1:8

The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this:- He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.-Rev 3:14,-Col 1:18

"The LORD possessed me at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old.   "From everlasting I was established, From the beginning, from the earliest times of the earth. -- "When He established the heavens, I was there, When He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep, -- Then I was beside Him, as a master workman; And I was daily His delight, Rejoicing always before Him.- "Even from eternity I am He, And there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?" -Pro 8:22,23,27,30,-Isa 43:13

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.  If anyone has an ear, let him hear.  - Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.-Rev 13:8-9,- Heb 12:2

I KNOW IN WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED

Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse declares,  "The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me, 'He who rules over men righteously, Who rules in the fear of God,  Is as the light of the morning when the sun rises, A morning without clouds, When the tender grass springs out of the earth, Through sunshine after rain.'  "Truly is not my house so with God? For He has made an everlasting covenant with me, Ordered in all things, and secured; For all my salvation and all my desire, Will He not indeed make it grow?-2Sa 23:1,3-5

For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.-2Ti 1:12

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,  just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will.-Eph 1:3-5

We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.   For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;   and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.-Rom 8:28-30

"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.  "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.  [Jesus said] "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.-Joh 14:1,2,6

NOT OF THIS WORLD

Jesus, on the last night of his earthly life, prayed to his Father in heaven while eleven apostles slumbered nearby.  "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world".-Joh 17:16 He prayed for divine protection from Satan's influence for his servants, his brothers and his sisters who would remain for a time on a wretched lust filled planet. The last days and hours of communion were spent teaching his flock all that he could about what to expect following his death and resurrection to life.

It was difficult for those hearing his words to grasp the full weight and meaning as he spoke; "Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.  "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."-Joh 16:32-33. His apostles and close followers were all eye witnesses to the hatred and guile foisted upon this man, the Son of the Almighty Father who had come in peace, giving of himself completely so that others might live.

Six hundred and eighty years before, the prophet Isaiah warned of his betrayal by the worldly  He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.- Isa 53:3. Jesus prepared his elect for the persecution they would suffer in his name. For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens;  who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.-Heb 7:26-27

Through the cross of Christ, we are taught how to live in this world without being of this world; "Do all things without grumbling or disputing;  so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world".-Php 2:14-15

Apostles Paul, Peter and John all removed themselves from the influence of the worldly evil, continuing to preach the truth of the Gospel of Christ;   "You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith." There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.    He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.  He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.-Act 10:38, Gal 6:10, Joh 1:9-11

In the Sermon on the Mount, as Jesus spoke the Beatitudes to the mass of people gathered around him, he encouraged those to realize the beauty and power that resides in all who would believe;  "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;  nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.   "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.- Mat 5:14-16

Each of you, be reflective of the Light of Jesus Christ that is in you. Let this Light shine brightly in all that you do. As a child of the Kingdom of God, you remain in this world as an Ambassador of Jesus, representing him and the promise by your very conduct. You are not of this world, you are of the Kingdom. Call upon him constantly in prayer, feel his hand upon your shoulder. Lean on him. Share him always. Spread the truth of the good news, the Gospel of Jesus the Christ, Amen.

GOD GAVE THEM OVER

There comes a time when the Creator reaches a critical moment with His creation, knowing that he or she will never respond to or answer the call to salvation in Jesus. Deep inside me I know that God would be so pleased if everyone would come to Him, but understands that for many, the lust and pride keeps them imprisoned in Satan's slavedom.

Despite this reality in the present, He continues to keep the door ajar in the hope that before the person's very last earthly breath, they might call His name. There are many like this;  And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper..- Rom 1:28. Perhaps giving Satan full measure with these lost sheep might eventually bring them to see the horrible error they are making.

We see it in living color through the Devil's Picture Window that we call television. Violent images repeated over and over, day after day. It is no wonder that the world's pharmaceutical and alcohol businesses are thriving.

God has given them over to do those things that are not proper, people  being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,  slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,  without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful. - Rom 1:29-31. Where does it end? For many, it will end with Judgment before the Almighty.

It is very easy to be judgmental towards those who have clearly lost their "compass heading" and are seemingly locked into an eternity of darkness, anguish and pain. Instead of being judgmental we should pray for all of them. Jesus the Christ will do the judging. He has equipped you and I to be mighty prayer warriors for the many who are lost.

It is true, I suppose, that many of God's creations will never abandon their sinful ways, no matter how much we pray. Its also a good thing that we do not know one-way or the other! Jesus knows who they are. Those who are borderline and just need some spiritual nudging that might open their eyes and soften their hearts. Jesus is the great intercessor. We can follow His lead and combine our prayer voices with many others, creating a harmonizing message to the ears of our Lord. God loves to hear these prayers. We all can be a part of something so very much greater than ourselves through the incredible power of Prayer.

Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, only You know the hearts and the condition of Your creation. Hear our pleading, O Lord, touch these lost souls, these wandering and troublesome sheep. Cause a tiny hole to be drilled into their Granite hard hearts through which Your pure and wondrous Light can leak in. Let this Light begin the process of softening these hardened hearts from the inside out. Let the heart beat again to the rhythm of Your will, and receive them, wash them, renew them to the Kingdom and eternity in joy. In the name of Jesus the Christ, AMEN.

KEEP THE CHANGE

"I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. "To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

Joh 10:9, 10:3

What great confidence in knowing that my Lord Jesus, to this day and this moment, "knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness."-2Ti 2:19   When we truly receive the Spirit of God, that indwelling brings change. Change to our way of thinking. Our behavior. Our words. Our touch. It is the change that confirms His indwelling in us.

Over these years, have you kept the change? Have you permitted and encouraged that change to grow, to prosper, to become permanent?

Perhaps you have allowed yourself to become un-changed, or have misplaced that change God so unselfishly gifted you with. Maybe you never really accepted the change. Becoming a pretender of change in public, continuing to sin in private. "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'  "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' -Mat 7:22-23 How horribly sad this would be. For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish. -Psa 1:6

Imagine for a moment that you were there on Golgatha the day they hung Jesus on that cross. Picture in your mind his naked humiliation, mind ripping pain he suffers, and you see YOUR NAME CLEARLY WRITTEN ON THE PALM OF HIS HAND!! "Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands....Isa 49:16, and in that moment, you cannot take a breath but fall to your knees pleading that you be forgiven for allowing the change to slip away. The change that HE is offering again before the time YOU TAKE YOUR last breath!

In his contemplation, Solomon writes alluding to Jesus; "Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as [Hell]; Its flashes are flashes of fire, The very flame of the LORD.  "Many waters cannot quench love, Nor will rivers overflow it...Son 8:6-7

When you keep the change, you keep the love! Love overcomes death.

The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble, And He knows those who take refuge in Him. -Nah 1:7. "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.  "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. -Joh 14:2-3

Beloved, if you have no change, there is no salvation in you. If you have misplaced your change, pray. Call His name. Ask Him to refill you, renew you, and make His change eternal in you.

As you walk in His light, Oh precious creation of His, KEEP THE CHANGE!
