THE DAWN OF SALVATION

For a child will be born to us,...His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  (2)  He was in the beginning with God.  (3)  All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.  (4)  In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.  (5)  The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.   And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.   "I and the Father are one." Philip *said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."  (9)  Jesus *said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?   "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."   Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am."

For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,  (10)  and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority. [Col 2:9-10]

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
