YOU SURELY WILL NOT DIE!

The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die!   "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." [Gen 3:4-5]

Adam stood with his wife and was privy to the conversation between the serpent and Eve. Eve was truly overcome by the wiles of this slick talking being. This was a powerful deception and in her innocence, she ate.

But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. [2Co 11:3]

God had delivered His command regarding this fruit and this tree directly to Adam. Mouth to ear, eye to eye. Adam was not deceived. Adam rebelled. As Satan spoke, the prideful lust welled up in Adam's heart. His emotions were stirred, and his greed gave way. Notice that Adam waited. Waited for Eve to eat first, and when he saw she DID NOT immediately die, he was emboldened and he eagerly ate. Thus SIN and DEATH and HELL were ushered into the lives of mankind through the seed of Adam. That seed is in each of us. From birth, WE ARE SINNERS! Without Christ, we will all perish.

The whole of the Bible is our road map, our guide, our "HOW-TO-DO" manual on salvation. The WORD, also known as Jesus the Christ, is found in virtually every book of the Bible from Genesis all the way to Revelation. Read, learn of the power that God has given you to believe in Him, to protect yourself, to assure your future as one of His own, forever living and serving in His kingdom.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.   For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.   Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.   Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,   and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;   in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.   And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. [Eph 6:11-17]

When those around you sin against you without regard, lovingly point out their error, forgive their sin against you. Teach them about God's grace and the love of Jesus.

But one whom you forgive anything, I forgive also; for indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did it for your sakes in the presence of Christ,   so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes. [2Co 2:10-11]

The most powerful WORD that can be used against temptations of Satan is the word NO. Use it daily!
