WHAT THE LORD SPEAKS, THE LORD DOES

What the Lord speaks, the Lord does.

Then the LORD took note of Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had promised. Gen 21:1

Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Psa 62:8

Moreover David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. - Joseph said to his brothers, "I am about to die, but God will surely take care of you and bring you up from this land to the land which He promised on oath to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob." 1Sa 30:6-Gen 50:24

'I HAVE CERTAINLY SEEN THE OPPRESSION OF MY PEOPLE IN EGYPT AND HAVE HEARD THEIR GROANS, AND I HAVE COME DOWN TO RESCUE THEM; COME NOW, AND I WILL SEND YOU TO EGYPT.' "This Moses whom they disowned, saying, 'WHO MADE YOU A RULER AND A JUDGE?' is the one whom God sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush. "This man led them out, performing wonders and signs in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea and in the wilderness for forty years. "This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, 'GOD WILL RAISE UP FOR YOU A PROPHET LIKE ME FROM YOUR BRETHREN.' Act 7:34-37

Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass. - Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; - "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? Jos 21:45-Heb 10:23-Num 23:19

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. -
The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. Mat 24:35-Isa 40:8

BY THE GRACE OF GOD I AM WHAT I AM

By the grace of God I am what I am.

They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my stay. -"Return, O faithless sons, I will heal your faithlessness." "Behold, we come to You; For You are the LORD our God. "Surely, the hills are a deception, A tumult on the mountains. Surely in the LORD our God Is the salvation of Israel. Psa 18:18-Jer 3:22-23

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them. - The righteous cry, and the LORD hears And delivers them out of all their troubles. Psa 18:2-Psa 34:7-Psa 34:17

"The eternal God is a dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms; And He drove out the enemy from before you, And said, 'Destroy!'- so that we confidently say, "THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?"
For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God, The God who girds me with strength And makes my way blameless? Deu 33:27-Heb 13:6-Psa 18:31-32

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain, ...yet not I, but the grace of God with me. 1Co 15:10

SACRIFICE OF THE CROSS

SACRIFICE OF THE CROSS

"He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God." Psa 50:23

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Col 3:16-17

For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. - But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; - you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1Co 6:20-1Pe 2:9-1Pe 2:5

Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. Heb 13:15

My soul will make its boast in the LORD; The humble will hear it and rejoice. O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. Psa 34:2-3

GOD DOES NOT WEAR A WRISTWATCH

God Does Not Wear A Wristwatch

Do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2Pe 3:8-9

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. Isa 55:8-11

The second hand of the clock has no value or currency in God's economy of eternity. We, you and I who presently have the breath of life in us, it is our impossible task to divorce ourselves from the cruelty of the ticking clock. Fifty to ninety years of earthly life, then, in the single circuit of the pendulum, we breathe our last and perish from the face of the earth. Many, much earlier in their short lives. What then?

Our God, our Lord is binary as He deals with us and His heavenly host. He is Holy or He is not. He is immutable or He is not. He is eternal or He is not! There is no middle ground. No mid-point where one can straddle that proverbial fence. You either believe or you do not. Saved or unsaved, it is one or the other. At the last second, when your time on earth is exhausted, and you breathe no more, what ever your status with the Lord God is at that precious moment, your eternity will be a reflection of that choice. A choice YOU made, not Jesus.

God has given you years to make up your mind. My deepest prayer is that you accept His gift of an eternity of joy and peace in His presence, in His light. Before that last breath overcomes your ability to select. Call on Jesus, ask Him to come into your heart, wash you clean through the blood He shed that you and I might be free of death and of sin. Be filled with the Holy Spirit, Love Him because He loves you!

For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! Rom 11:32-33

God does not wear a wristwatch. But he knows when your time has expired.

I FELL AT HIS FEET LIKE A DEAD MAN

The Apostle John had been banished by his persecutors to the Greek Island of Patmos to complete his days of life. John is the only Apostle who died a natural death at the end of his time on earth. Our Lord sent an angel to communicate with John, in the Spirit, to reveal the things that soon must take place in the rapidly approaching end times. We begin in Revelation, Chapter one, and Verse 17:

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, "Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last. For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and whirlwind, but you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel. [Rev 1:17, Heb 12:18, Heb 12:22-24]
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. [Heb 12:2, Heb 4:15-16]

Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me. For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. [Isa 44:6, Isa 9:6]

Are You not from everlasting, O LORD, my God, my Holy One? We will not die. You, O LORD, have appointed them to judge; And You, O Rock, have established them to correct. For who is God, besides the LORD? And who is a rock, besides our God? [Hab 1:12, 2Sa 22:32]

OUR BROTHER, OUR LORD!

OUR BROTHER, OUR LORD

Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. Heb 2:17

Born in Bethlehem, raised up in Nazareth, to all appearances, just another male child growing, learning, loved by his mother and his father. Just a normal kid by any standard measure at the time.

The Bible is silent on details of Jesus younger days, beyond a few precious snippets. Registered as the son of Joseph, young Jesus learned the carpentry trade at his earthly dad's hand. Mother Mary held Him in her heart as He grew from a toddler to a teen to a man.

So, just how does a "sinless" child successfully negotiate the perils of Satan throughout His formative years to arrive error free into adulthood and subsequently through the Cross?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. Joh 1:1-5, 14

The sinlessness of Jesus is His natural state. He is Lord. Even in the earthly body of a child, a teenager, a man, He is God! He is SINLESS because He IS! He can be no other way. HE IS HOLY.

Jesus was not of the seed of Adam, the seed that ushered in death and sin into each of us. Jesus was of the seed of His Father. Without error. He is Holy. This Holy man, this Savior, this Christ who gave His life and shed His blood that you and I might live; He called those who believe His brothers!

But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, "Who is My mother and who are My brothers?" And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, "Behold My mother and My brothers! "For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother." Mat 12:48-50

Praise You Jesus! Praise You in the highest! Praise Your Holy Name!
