HIS WORK IS SEEN EVERYWHERE

The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. {Psa 19:1}

Each evening as the sun sets, Almighty God announces the close of yet another day. He does so in magnificent splendor; painting the evening sky with mighty brush strokes of color and texture, mixing clouds with gold and silver light spread over the pastel blue of Heavens gateway.

Each morning, this mighty and incredible artistry of His invisible power is made visible to our eyes again, announcing the beginning of a new day. A fresh start. A day filled with His promise, His love, His might. {Gen 1:5 --God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.}.

From the beginning of time this gift and evidence of His power has never been duplicated. Each painting is dynamic, ever changing, never repeating, always fresh and renewing. In THIS we see ample evidence of God!

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. {Rom 1:20} The man who shouts "There is no God" is an Anathema and is cursed in the presence of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Pray for that man.

The Spirit of our Lord is invisible and His works remain a deep mystery to the flesh, and yet He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness." { Act 14:17}

There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory. (42) So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body. {1Co 15:41-42}

Look up into the heavens tonight. As different from one to another the stars reveal His majesty that has been gifted to each one of us. We are as individual, one from another, as the stars differ in the sky. Only God can grant this miracle. He does so leaving visible evidence that we might see and that we might believe. DO you have insight? Do you believe?

"Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. {Dan 12:3}

TAKE UP YOUR CROSS

And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. {Luk 9:23} -- by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; {2Co 6:8} -- indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. {2Ti 3:12}

Did you ever hear someone say, "Well, being stuck in this dead-end job must be my cross to bear, woe is me!" Jesus did not intend His words to be a license to a Pity-Party. What does it mean when we are asked to pick up our cross and follow Jesus?

As Christ carried His cross through the streets leading up to Golgotha, it was Roman law that the person to be executed must carry, on his own back, the very instrument that would soon support his lifeless remains. It was a form of extreme humiliation. Jesus died for us. When we figuratively pick up our cross to follow, we are stating in a bold manner that we are {literally} willing to die for Him.

"He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. {Joh 12:25} -- If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. (15) Make sure that none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; (16) but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name. { 1Pe 4:14-16}

We were never, ever promised that our Christian lives would be a cake walk. That it would be without turbulence and trouble.

For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, {Php 1:29}, -- for the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; (15) and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. { 2Co 5:14-15}

If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us. {2Ti 2:12}

Be willing to carry your cross all the way to Golgotha for Jesus. He carried His for you!

ECCLESIASTES, those events under heaven

Ecc 3:1-22 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven— (2) A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. (3) A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up. (4) A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance. (5) A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing. (6) A time to search and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep and a time to throw away. (7) A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak. (8) A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace.

(9) What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils? (10) I have seen the task which God has given the sons of men with which to occupy themselves. (11) He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end. (12) I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one's lifetime; (13) moreover, that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor—it is the gift of God. (14) I know that everything God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it, for God has so worked that men should fear Him.

(15) That which is has been already and that which will be has already been, for God seeks what has passed by. (16) Furthermore, I have seen under the sun that in the place of justice there is wickedness and in the place of righteousness there is wickedness. (17) I said to myself, "God will judge both the righteous man and the wicked man," for a time for every matter and for every deed is there. (18) I said to myself concerning the sons of men, "God has surely tested them in order for them to see that they are but beasts." (19) For the fate of the sons of men and the fate of beasts is the same. As one dies so dies the other; indeed, they all have the same breath and there is no advantage for man over beast, for all is vanity. (20) All go to the same place. All came from the dust and all return to the dust. (21) Who knows that the breath of man ascends upward and the breath of the beast descends downward to the earth? (22) I have seen that nothing is better than that man should be happy in his activities, for that is his lot. For who will bring him to see what will occur after him?

PRAYER

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord My Soul To Take, Amen.

This simple child's prayer is etched in the minds of millions and millions of God's creation. This and the so called Lord's Prayer found in Matthew 6: 9-13, are recited and recalled thousands of times each and every day around the globe. Grown men who have fallen away from the Lord or certain patients in Memory Care Facilities can be brought to tears hearing or speaking these timeless tools of worship.

We believe that the first mention of prayer in our Bible can be found in Genesis 4:26 where we read: To Seth, to him also a son was born; and he called his name Enosh. Then men began to call upon the name of the LORD.

What is prayer and Why is it so important?

Right beside God's gift to us through the Breath of Life is where we should place the value and importance of Prayer. For believers, prayer is a gift, a privilege, a blessing of having direct unfettered access to the Creator, the Author of all things, past, present and future. Prayer is the direct connection between your soul's voice and God's ear. The LORD has heard my supplication, The LORD receives my prayer. { Psa 6:9} God grants the believer audience instantly regardless of the hour, weather, situation or location. The power of prayer is almost to great to contemplate while in the flesh.

Those who do not believe have no use for prayer; The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him. All his thoughts are, "There is no God." { Psa 10:4} --This is a sad statement and reflection on the majority of those living today.

The most common types of prayers are prayers of petition; Cries for personal help or intervention for themselves, and prayers of intercession; praying for intervention or benefit for others, or on their behalf. Here is an example of a prayer of intercession mixed with a short benediction at the end:

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, (15) from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, (16) that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, (17) so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, (18) may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, (19) and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. (20) Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, (21) to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. {Eph 3:14-21}

IN First Samuel, a powerful prayer of petition is pleaded by Hanna to be granted the favor of childbirth, lifting up words of great respect, worship and awe to her Lord:

Then Hannah prayed and said, "My heart exults in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD, My mouth speaks boldly against my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation. (2) "There is no one holy like the LORD, Indeed, there is no one besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God. (3) "Boast no more so very proudly, Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth; For the LORD is a God of knowledge, And with Him actions are weighed. (4) "The bows of the mighty are shattered, But the feeble gird on strength. (5) "Those who were full hire themselves out for bread, But those who were hungry cease to hunger. Even the barren gives birth to seven, But she who has many children languishes. (6) "The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to Sheol and raises up. (7) "The LORD makes poor and rich; He brings low, He also exalts. (8) "He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the ash heap To make them sit with nobles, And inherit a seat of honor; For the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, And He set the world on them. (9) "He keeps the feet of His godly ones, But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness; For not by might shall a man prevail. (10) "Those who contend with the LORD will be shattered; Against them He will thunder in the heavens, The LORD will judge the ends of the earth; And He will give strength to His king, And will exalt the horn of His anointed." {1Sa 2:1-10}

There is yet another type of prayer. Thanksgiving!

God answers prayers. O LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. { Psa 30:2}

When you pray, pray from your heart, pray from the deepest most secret part of your very soul. Pray with a deep reverence expected as from a created being (you) to your Creator (Our Lord God). Cherish and protect this wondrous gift that Almighty God has granted to His child. Thank Him often for being the powerful and merciful Father of all who believe, Amen.

Oh, What My Eyes Have Seen

"Therefore write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after these things. {Rev 1:19}

But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, (21) for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. {2Pe 1:20-21} -- What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. {1Jn 1:3}

"See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." (40) And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. {Luk 24:39-40} -- And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe. {Joh 19:35}

For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. {2Pe 1:16} -- so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. {1Co 2:5}

THE WOMAN'S SEED

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel." {Gen 3:15}

Behold, My servant will prosper, He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted. (14) Just as many were astonished at you, My people, So His appearance was marred more than any man And His form more than the sons of men. {Isa 52:13-14} -- But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. { Isa 53:5}

"While I was with you daily in the temple, you did not lay hands on Me; but this hour and the power of darkness are yours." {Luk 22:53}

So Pilate *said to Him, "You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?" (11) Jesus answered, "You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin." {Joh 19:10-11}

Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; (8) the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. {1Jn 3:7-8}

And He healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He was not permitting the demons to speak, because they knew who He was. {Mar 1:34} -- And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. {Mat 28:18}

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. {Rom 16:20}

DO NOT FEAR

On March 4th, 1933, in his inaugural address, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt uttered the words, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself". One wonders at the high probability that our God, in HIS providence, influenced Moly, FDR's speech writer and FDR himself to not only include this statement, but to open his address with it. The nation faced dangerous times and challenges.

Fear can and has crippled whole nations reducing them to indecisiveness, error and even destruction. In God's economy, trusting believers push through fear, overcome paralysis, boldly reach beyond their immediate grasp through unbridled faith in God's power to go before you.

"The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." {Deu 31:8}

Yoking yourself to the Almighty and His grace is the horsepower behind success, for His ways are better than our ways; I know, O LORD, that a man's way is not in himself, Nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps. { Jer 10:23}

Unlike God, mans vision is short sighted, often distorted by the influence of the world and of sin. Man's view and power is limited. Limited, that is, until he places his full faith in the hands of the Creator.

The steps of a man are established by the LORD, And He delights in his way. (24) When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand. {Psa 37:23-24}

In a Psalm written by Asaph, The Lord's promise holds strong contrasting righteousness over the wicked; "Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand." (24) "With Your counsel You will guide me, And afterward receive me to glory". { Psa 73:23-24}

All believers should find great comfort and strength in the covenant that Christ Jesus has made with us.

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, (39) nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. {Rom 8:38-39}

Never attempt to go it alone! Always pray for and invoke the awesome power of our Savior through the in-dwelling Holy Spirit, AMEN.

WE ARE THE CREATURES
HE IS THE CREATOR

It is a mystery to me why humans have such difficulty recognizing the simple relationship, as stated above. He is the CREATOR. We are the CREATED. He is the COMMANDER IN CHIEF. We are not. He makes the rules. We don't. I have a neighbor who has a four year old. Even she grasps this concept. What is our problem?

It seems the older we get, the narrower our view becomes. We tend to see ourselves as total and complete in our soft and squishy selves. We actually believe that we are in full charge in our pathetically weak and ineffective lives. Let me ask you brother, when was the last time YOU moved a constellation, or modified the orbit of a star? How about the last time YOU created life out of nothing? How about the time you last spoke the Word and created water out of simple, breathable air? {crickets...}

Here are just a few of the attributes of our CREATOR, our GOD, our BOSS; He is Solitary -- The only one; He is Sovereign, He is Immutable {He cannot change}; He is all Powerful; He is Holy; He is Faithful; He is Mercy; He is Love; He is Patient.

"Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool. {Isa 1:18}

Did I mention that He is Forgiving?

"I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins. (26) "Put Me in remembrance, let us argue our case together; State your cause, that you may be proved right. {Isa 43:25-26} "I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud And your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you." {Isa 44:22}

Here are some human attributes; We are selfish, ego-driven, lustful, untruthful, cruel, nasty, violent and by-enlarge, unfeeling. Its all about US. We are "Screw-Ups". Adam was made perfect. Then he screwed up. Since he was the first, and at the time, the ONLY man, and we evolved from his seed, we who followed were infected at birth by the "Screw-Up" gene. Its what we do. We seem to gravitate to the "Screw-Up" position with relative ease! Left to our own devices, we will ALWAYS "Screw-Up".

God saw what Adam had done. Here was HIS response: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (17) "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. (18) "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. {Joh 3:16-18}

All the ugliness in the world cannot be blamed on God. God is perfect and blameless. If you want to blame someone for all the hate, horror, violence, and sin, blame Adam. He opened the door, not God. Blame us; humans, we truly were the first "Screw-Ups".

Although the poison of sin was released into the world, the antidote that God created was His Son, Jesus of Nazareth. He took the death, the pain, the humiliation, for you, for all of us. Since God gave us the power to decide, the decision is yours. His hand is extended to you with the cure. How about your hand? Are you ready to reach out?

But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many. {Rom 5:15}

Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. {1Co 6:11}

Here is the deal. God gave you the ability to make the choice. The agreement expires the moment you draw your last breath. It is really simple; If you do nothing, continue to live as you are, you default to the Adam infected gene. At your last breath, Welcome to HELL. This will be your new home--FOREVER!

If you elect to follow Jesus, who, by the way, died to give you release from the Adam induced "Screw-Up" gene, {Satan}, you will be saved at your last breath. Your eternity will be in Paradise with your Creator. Jesus is the door!

If I were you, I would not wait too long to make your decision. Later today you just might draw your last breath. Make the choice.
