Has
His lovingkindness ceased forever? Has His promise come to an end
forever? [Psa 77:8]
The
questions above reflect the anguish and pain of mourning as it seems
that more and more innocents are being taken from the earth before
their time. Children, babies, many who have not even reached a level
of knowing good from bad. How is it that these precious souls were
taken and others not? They ask: Why was it MY CHILD that was denied
the breath of life? WHY?
A
loving husband asks: Lord, tell me WHY my wife, a good Godly woman,
has been stricken with great illness and weakness and the crack-head
up the road who celebrates the devil publicly gets a pass? And the
husband shouts aloud "THERE IS NO GOD!" How can this be
Lord?
Job
cried out to God as he suffered horrible loss of family, profession,
possessions and terrible physical suffering. His kids were killed.
He lost everything he had.
Job
1:20-22 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and he
fell to the ground and worshiped. (21) He said, "Naked I came
from my mother's womb, And naked I shall return there. The LORD gave
and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD."
(22) Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.
I
have often wondered if I would have such strong faith in the face of
this tragedy and suffering. All I have within me I give to Him who
first loved me enough to grant His salvation to me from the horror of
my many sins. Only through FAITH can any of us survive these
terrible events.
Tit
3:5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in
righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of
regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.
He
saved us by GRACE through FAITH. Faith is the key!
2Co
1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Father of mercies and God of all comfort, (4) who comforts us in
all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are
in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are
comforted by God.
Even
Jesus suffered great grief in the loss of so many precious souls, and
even close friends like Lazarus.
Heb
2:17-18 Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all
things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest
in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the
people. (18) For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has
suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
And even to the aid of those afflicted
with loss, mourning and terrible grief.
Oh Father, in the name of Jesus
Christ I pray for Your mighty relief and mercy by filling these
suffering souls with the supernatural comfort that only You can
provide. Fill them with Your love, stamina, courage, boldness,
wisdom and patience as they continue their journey in FAITH in the
healing power of Your Majesty, Help them in their FAITH Lord, AMEN.
