CAN YOU
NOT SEE?
There are many things in our lives that
we cannot see with our eyes yet we know beyond all doubt that they
exist and that they have impact on our conduct. We cannot see the
wind but we certainly see and feel the effects of the wind. Sometimes
in a very big way! We cannot see electricity, but the effects we
can. Those of us who have grabbed the wrong wire will testify LOUDLY
as to its presence. Gravity is another power we are well acquainted
with. Falling off of the ladder confirms its presence.
The Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit
have not been seen by our earthly eyes yet we do see the effects of
the God Head's power, might and mercy.
1Pe
1:8 ....Though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do
not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy
inexpressible and full of glory.
2Co
5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight—Wouldn't it be neat if
we could just put on a pair of "Spiritual" glasses and see
Jesus as he truly is right now? In a way, we actually can. The
glasses we would peer through exists in the form of The WORD. Holy
Scripture is the lens through which we can see our Lord. The more
you focus on the WORD, the clearer the view. No Bi-Focals needed!
1Jn
4:19 We love, because He first loved us. Seven
words. Beautiful words that show clearly the source of that powerful
quality that our God breathed into us when we elected to receive His
gift.
1Jn
4:16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has
for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God,
and God abides in him.
Sharpen your eyesight,
broaden your field of view, focus on the eternal TRUTH. Then look
in the mirror and be in awe of HIM in you.
