TEACH ME, O' LORD

(Psa 25:4) Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.

Almighty Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, we thirst for Your guidance. We search for Your ways. We hunger for Your righteousness. It is through scripture and prayer that You lead us, show us, grow us into Holy vessels to carry and share Your precious Word. Let us ever be attentive to know and to practice that which is open to all in Your Holy Bible, Amen.

(Exo 33:12-14) Then Moses said to the LORD, …... I pray You, if I have found favor in Your sight, let me know Your ways that I may know You, so that I may find favor in Your sight.....And He said, "My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest."

Moses was blessed with huge undertakings that would only be possible through the might and will of Almighty God. Moses did not have a Bible to turn to. Scripture that might Light his path. That initial documentation [The TORAH] was to be inked on Moses watch.

(Psa 103:7) He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel.

Not only did God fill the vessel of Moses with His wisdom and His grace, God lead Moses through impossible tasks as the Israelites were rescued from Egypt, and with great difficulty, Moses taught a “stiff-necked” people the way of the Lord leading to the fulfillment of His promise.

(Psa 25:9) He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way.

(Psa 25:12) Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.

We frequently cry out for the answers, and we with equal frequency fail to do our part; pray, study His word, learn His ways. The Bible is your personal road map to salvation, peace and joy. The Bible is His tool to communicat directly to you. The Bible is His guide to knowing Him. In Prayer, know that God loves to hear your voice, at any hour, all day, everyday!

(Pro 3:5-6) Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

(Psa 16:11) You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

Won't you start today, right now in trusting fully He who created you? Won't you call out His name and welcome His gift, His promise, and let your heart be filled with the eternal joy found only in Christ Jesus?

(Psa 32:8) I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.

(Pro 4:18) The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until the full day.

HAS GOD INDEED SAID?

(Gen 3:1) Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'?"

O' Lord, my God, how attentive we must be to know your word. To refresh ourselves daily in Holy Scripture. It is through knowing Your word that we practice, and as we practice we become strong. The devil is very crafty and is very good at what he does. He is a deceiver, a doubt creator, a liar, a cheat. Help us Jesus, help us to be strong. Help us Holy Spirit to be educated in the word, to be strong in what we hold in truth from the Holy Book. The more armor we protect ourselves with, the less successful the devil will be against us in his temptations. In Christ, Amen.

(Mat 4:3-4,7,10-11) And the tempter came and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, ….and He answered, …..It is written.....It is written......It is written....Then the devil left him.

Jesus, our Lord, our King went to His own defense using scripture as His mighty shield. Think about that. GOD, our lord Jesus, used the Old Testament [Torah] to battle the temptations of the Prince of Darkness. There is power in the Word.

The Bible is our personal road map. It teaches us to follow the way of the Lord. If we put what we learn from scripture into practice. What we learn can also help protect us from error and sinning against God.

In the 13th chapter of 1st Kings, Jeroboam created his false altar. Appointed false priests and prophets. One TRUE man of God was careless, was deceived and allowed himself to directly disobey the word delivered to his ears by the Lord. It did not end well for him:

(1Ki 13:16-19,26) He said, "I cannot return with you, nor go with you, nor will I eat bread or drink water with you in this place. "For a command came to me by the word of the LORD, 'You shall eat no bread, nor drink water there; do not return by going the way which you came.' He said to him, "I also am a prophet like you, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the LORD, saying, 'Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.'" But he lied to him. So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house and drank water. Now when the prophet who brought him back from the way heard it, he said, "It is the man of God, who disobeyed the command of the LORD; therefore the LORD has given him to the lion, which has torn him and killed him, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke to him."

God delivered the instructions to the man of God directly. The man of God knew this beyond doubt. Yet, the man of God allowed himself to be redirected from his task by an outsider, a slick talking snake-oil-salesman to deviate from God's direct instructions. You see how careful we all have to be? Knowledge of the Word is power.

(Gal 1:8) But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

How do we know what God wants? How do we hear from Him? How to we stay true to His instructions? We read, study, learn, remember, and practice that which is written in His book.....the BIBLE.

(Psa 119:11) Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.

In a unique school many years ago, I learned a rule called Runda's Rule. It was very simple and to the point--

WHEN IN DOUBT....CHECK IT OUT!!”.

When you hear or read something that just does not quite sound right, and a little flag pops up, open the book. Read the TRUTH.

TAKE A KNEE

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Let us lift up our voices in blessed thanksgiving to Your ear in the name of Your Son, the Christ. We in America are so very blessed among nations. Your face has shined for many years on us, and we are so thankful for Your Grace, but especially, Your patience and mercy. We must look well beyond the media and the 24-hour news hype to rediscover the tender and loving hearts that gave themselves to Our true King, Jesus of Nazareth, who then gave of Himself to us in a multitude of blessings, including salvation through His blood. Let us return again to scripture, O'Lord, to find clarity and vision in singing again beautiful psalms -- bringing glory to where it should belong, in the Kingdom of God, Amen and Amen.

(Isa 42:10) Sing to the LORD a new song, Sing His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it. You islands, and those who dwell on them.

(Psa 81:1-2) Sing for joy to God our strength; Shout joyfully to the God of Jacob. Raise a song, strike the timbrel, The sweet sounding lyre with the harp.

(Psa 40:3) He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear And will trust in the LORD.

(Jos 1:9) "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

(Neh 8:10) Then he said to them, "Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."

(Act 28:15) And the brethren, when they heard about us, came from there as far as the Market of Appius and Three Inns to meet us; and when Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage.

(Rom 13:11-14) Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.

Let us Take a KNEE for our LORD and SAVIOR, our KING, our CHRIST, Amen.

THE SIGN OF HIS COMING

(Mat 24:3) As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?

Lets open in prayer; Lord Jesus, we know that you are standing at the door, and the trumpet might be heard at any moment. We know Lord that there is no prophesy yet unfulfilled in order for your coming in the clouds to take place. We pray that none will be fooled by those who claim to know the when and where of Your coming. We all must be prepared. Please bless this return to scripture so that we might all read the truth and apply it to our lives. In your Precious Name, Amen.

The world news machine recently circulated a story about a numerologist who claimed that mathematics revealed to him the exact day that this world would come to an end. The day came and went.

There were a few people who took the extreme and attempted or were successful in committing suicide as a result of hearing this news. Others wrote final notes to loved ones, or gave away prized possessions.

Jesus was very open to His disciples in providing answers to their questions:

(Mat 24:4-5) And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many”.

We are so very fortunate to have immediate access to the Biblical truth. That TRUTH is contained in your Bible! Extracting that truth comes from opening of its pages and reading that which is written therein. Jesus continues:

(Mat 24:6-8) "You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs”.

(Mat 24:11) "Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many”.

No person on the face of the earth will ever have the knowledge of the timing of the Lord's coming. Ever!

(Mat 24:36) "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

God has blessed us with enough advanced information that we know that the time is ripe. It could be tonight, tomorrow, next year. It is close, we know this because we trust God's word through scripture. God will let us all know when it is time. Of that you may be assured!

Closing Prayer: Almighty God, our Great Creator, we who believe on Your Son and that You sent Him to us, wait with bottled up joy at the thought of His arrival. What a glorious day that will be for us, but a horridly gut wrenching time for those who do not believe. Place these unbelievers in our path Lord, allow us to be a tool in Your hands that may bring them to the Word of eternal Salvation in Jesus Christ.
MARANATHA, and Amen.

WHO WILL HELP ME?

My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psa 121:2)

O' Lord, our God, as we open our Bibles we ask to be filled to the brim with the loving guidance of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Let the scriptures come alive in our minds and hearts and its teachings be real so as to touch us to the depth of our souls and further bond us to You our King, our Savior, Our Lord Jesus, Amen.

(Psa 125:2) As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.

Our Father is creator of all that is, all that was and all that will ever be.
He loves His creation (you and me) with a love that cannot be measured. God is very protective and He longs to hear our voices. He cherishes each one of us and watches closely our steps. He is a good Father.

(Psa 123:1-2) To You I lift up my eyes, O You who are enthroned in the heavens! Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He is gracious to us.

In Him we trust and strive to please. He is the Creator, we are the created. We look to Him for guidance, for protection, for our very salvation. Who else should we ever call to? Who else indeed. There is no other!

(2Chr 20:12) O our God, will You not judge them? For we are powerless before this great multitude who are coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.

Who or what is this great multitude that comes against us? It is the way of the world. It is sin. It is illness, troubles, storms, thieves, financial crisis, lust, envy and broken hearts. WHO WILL HELP ME?

(Psa 25:15) My eyes are continually toward the LORD, For He will pluck my feet out of the net.

(Psa 124:8) Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.

O' Lord, Almighty Father, thank-you for this teaching. Thank-you for your Word. Let us all be convicted and driven to wash ourselves in scripture every day. As we read, let us also be read. Hear our prayers O' God. In the name of Christ Jesus, Amen.

THE BIBLE

The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you.

It is the traveler's map, the pilgrim's staff, the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword, and the Christian's charter. Here Paradise is restored, Heaven opened, and the gates of hell disclosed.

CHRIST is its grand subject, our good the design, and the glory of God its end.

It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.

I, even I, am He who comforts you...
(Isa 51:12)

(2Co 1:3-4) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

You and I have had a biological father. Our Lord and Savior, the Christ shares in His relationship to Almighty God, who just so happens to be His Father. As we seek blessings for our earthly fathers, so Jesus seeks to bless His Father, the Father of all

(Psa 103:13-14) Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust.

Growing up, I recall having a genuine fear of my father, or should I say what my father was capable of inflicting upon me as a result of my bad behavior. My memory fails me in recalling which was worse, the actual punishment or the waiting and contemplating that which was about to be applied to my seat of knowledge. Fear kept me in-line....most of the time. We too should hold a healthy fear of God, our Father, for He is capable of far greater punishments when we stray and not obey!

(Isa 66:13), (1Pe 5:7) As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; And you will be comforted in Jerusalem -- casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

After recieving punishment from my father, mom would peek in and ask me if I was alright. Through the sniffles and tear stained eyes I would tell mom that I was ok. Later, dad would also comfort me by showing his love but also asking if I had learned my lesson. I had. At least for that day. God is likewise compassionate and comforting following His rebuke.

(Psa 86:15) But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

Our Father, our Lord does not leave us to our own devices, those of which will lead us into sin. He blesses us with an indwelling companion, a guide, a counselor who is with us around the clock. This supernatural baptism for those who believe, demonstrates the enormity of His love for us.

(Joh 14:16-17) I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.

More than just a spiritual injection, the Holy Spirit causes us to become one in Him. I say Him because He is an entity unto Himself as the third person of the Trinity of the Godhead, co-equal in Deity to the Father and the Son. Being born again ushers you into the Kingdom, blesses you with being a co-heir of the reward of eternal life. You are recognized as a Child of God. A citizen of the Kingdom. He lives in you. How special is that?

(Rom 8:26), (Rev 21:4) In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;-- and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.

DON'T RUN WITH THE HERD

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. You shall not follow the masses in doing evil, nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after a multitude in order to pervert justice; You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus. Therefore, laying aside falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH EACH ONE of you WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, for we are members of one another.

(Rom 12:2) (Exo 23:2) (Jas 4:4) (2Co 6:14-16) (1Jn 2:15,17) (Eph 2:1-2) (Eph 4:20,21,25)

Oh Lord, What Do We Do Now?

With this massive hurricane approaching and millions of people on the move, prayerful voices are being lifted through Christ to God's ear. Prayers of deliverance, of support, of mercy, and of God's mighty grace.

Let there be no doubt, this system of huge storms will leave scars on the hearts of many for the balance of their days. For believers, we place our full faith and trust in His power to bring us through any storm and deliver us in peace when the blue skies return. Though our hearts might be broken, Your love O' Lord will get us all through, Amen.

(Psa 34:4) I sought the LORD, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.

Call out to your Creator. Call His name. Open a precious dialog with Jesus, it all starts here.

(Psa 34:6) This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him And saved him out of all his troubles.

If you have accepted our Lord into your heart. If you have been baptized with the Holy Spirit, you know immediately that prayers are heard and more importantly, prayers are answered. Lean on Him, invite His love and protection in all trials that you face.

(Psa 91:2) I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!

Call His name, unload all your fears upon His shoulders. He loves to be your Hero.

(Psa 91:7, 9-11) A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you. For you have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.

You see, God, through His grace, has placed instructions on everything you will ever need to overcome any earthly catastrophe foisted against you in the Bible. Trust Him. Read His word. Know His heart and His love for you.

(Psa 23:1-6) The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life,

And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever, Amen
