LOVE NEVER FAILS


If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels but have not love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains but have not love, I am nothing.

If I give away all that I own and if I hand over my body so I might boast but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not brag, it is not puffed up, it does not behave inappropriately, it does not seek its own way, it is not provoked, it keeps no account of wrong, it does not rejoice over injustice but rejoices in the truth; it bears all things, it believes all things, it hopes all things, it endures all things.

Love never fails—but where there are prophecies, they will pass away; where there are tongues, they will cease; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. (1Co 13:1-8)

ITS THE PROCESS


Seeing them straining at the oars, for the wind was against them, at about the fourth watch of the night He *came to them, walking on the sea; and He intended to pass by them.
(Mar 6:48)


Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. As we utter our prayers and supplications, lifting them to Your mighty ears in the precious name of Jesus the Christ, our King, grant us such Holy sensitivity to Your moment-by-moment callings, and give us that which will cause us to immediately obey, Amen.

(Mar 6:49-50) But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw Him and were terrified. But immediately He spoke with them and *said to them, "Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid."

This scripture hit me like a ton of bricks this morning. So much so that I immediately wrote it down.  

The urging from the Holy Spirit, that I write this down and share it with you was NOT the goal as I understood it to be. Oswald Chambers explained: What we see as only the process of reaching a particular end, God sees the PROCESS itself as the goal.

It is the PROCESS not always the RESULT that brings a smile to God's face. It is not so much WHAT you do, as it is that you always do what you do with the express purpose of bringing glory to God and His Kingdom – then share it with others.

When a baby is born, God has already equipped the child with everything they will ever need to live. The rest is an ongoing PROCESS. We learn how to utilize those gifts that God gave from birth.  These talents allow us to refine our Walking, talking, thinking, calculating, evaluating, comparing. That is the PROCESS.God loves the process.

(Heb 4:7) He again fixes a certain day, "Today,"...."TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS."

God also works in the MOMENT. He gives us exactly what we need, at the exact MOMENT that we need it. Not a minute sooner, not a minute later. In that very MOMENT! That is also His PROCESS.

Today, this very moment, you who are saved have everything you will ever need to do God's will, now and forever. You are fully equipped!! The very moment you were saved, it was immediately in you. Let Jesus teach you the PROCESS. Have faith that He is with you always. Trust in Him. Everything that He does with you is in the moment. As He leads, and teaches, simply obey. Be a part of the PROCESS,  Moment to moment.

Oh my Lord, how many times have I ran down the field thinking that I know where the ball will be thrown only to take that long lonely walk back to the line of scrimmage with empty hands. You, gracious God, have equipped me with everything I need to serve. Teach me Precious Rabbi, to know the PROCESS, to have faith, to know that you are always with me, that your Holy Spirit speaks to me at all hours of the day and night. Help me Father to trust in you at all times, in all circumstances, in all trials. Help me to share this with others, and love them as you love me. In the name of Jesus Christ my Lord, Amen.

AND A CHILD IS BORN


(Gen 4:1) Now the man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, and she said, "I have gotten a manchild with the help of the LORD."



Thus the FIRST MOTHER excitedly exclaims as she gazes upon her child. The first ever child born of the God ordained union of one man and one woman. The first birth of the womb. First born of man.

I recall as it were yesterday.... laying my eyes on my First Born. My son. The exhaustion in his mothers eyes quickly overcome by the joy in her heart.
Only God can do this amazing thing.

(Psa 139:14) I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.

This week I saw the face of another young man, a Godly man, whose countenance was overwhelmed in awe at the very majesty of the Lord's power of creation; drained emotionally and overflowing spiritually as he held his first born son, this newborn of God's creation in his arms. His beautiful young bride physically spent but somehow renewed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible is filled with these wondrous miracles. Miracles, they truly are. David and Bathsheba gazing at newborn Solomon; Zacharia finally being able to speak when Elizabeth delivered John, who would become the herald for the coming of another newborn, Jesus, the Christ Child, Amen. Joseph and Mary were in awe.

For today's newborn parents, reality returns home quickly. Usually somewhere around the fourth or fifth diaper change, the question arises, “How can something so cute and tiny and so sweet smell so very bad!!”. Likewise, parents will soon realize that you really can go without sleep for days on end and not die!
Parents in the Bible shared all of these experiences and Pampers were not yet invented.

Remember the song, Turn Around? One day they are tiny, the next day they are grown. Before you can blink, they are welcoming a newborn of their own.

(Gen 17:4) "As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, And you will be the father of a multitude of nations. Abraham had no concept of the magnitude of what was about to unfold!

Father God, let us impress upon our sons and our daughters how quickly our time on earth evaporates. How tender and precious every minute of every day is and that it all is a gift from Him who created us. Let us teach our children to love and cherish each other and especially to honor and hold in great fear and reverence He whose breath of life we received. Thank-you Father. In Christ, Amen.

PRAYING AND BEING PRAYED FOR


(Rom 15:30) Now I urge you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God for me.


Lord God, we come to you with thanksgiving in our hearts and a knowledge that prayer is not just the profession of the Pastor, the Preacher. It is but a privilege to be so ordained to the power of prayer. Teach us, Father, to pray constantly for those who are always praying for us, Amen.


E.M. Bounds reminds us that “The preacher must pray; the preacher must be prayed for. These two propositions are wedded into a union that should never be separated.”.

Many members of the local congregation have no idea the load that many pastors / preachers are under. The several hats they must wear. The secrets that they hold inviolate in their hearts forever. Truly, it takes all the praying he can do, to meet and to carry the crushing responsibilities AND the successes in God's ordained work.

Without the on-going lifting of our voices to heaven to gird the preacher with stamina and strength, wisdom and purpose, and to do all this with the conviction of Holy Love, and without his pleadings to the very throne of the Creator, this pastor, this preacher would be instantly crushed to dust under the weight. If you truly want to help your pastor to be the best he can be and bring glory to God then pray for him.

Father God, I pray for all of the pastors and preachers today and everyday. Help them and guide them, Lord Jesus, and fill them with an abundance of Your mighty blessings, Hallelujah, Amen.

COMMUNION IN THE WILDERNESS



Therefore, behold, I will allure her, Bring her into the wilderness And speak kindly to her.
(Hos 2:14)


Almighty God, we come before you with great thanksgiving in our hearts for the multitude of blessings rained upon us from the moment of our first heart-beat. Bless this time of learning as we open our minds and souls to Your Word, Amen.


We are all familiar with the taking of Communion, also known as the Lord's Supper. This we do often as a solemn remembrance of the horrible price that Jesus paid in His death on the cross, and the sealing of the New Covenant, in His blood, whereby we who believe on Him are forgiven our sins and the promise of eternity in His service.

There is another Communion that is played out every day and most of us never ever realize its occurrence or its purpose. This Communion originates with God and reflects His great love for us, His creation.

Pastor Charles H. Spurgeon reveals this beautiful celebration in the following missive:

The goodness of God sees us allured by sin, and it resolves to try upon us the more powerful allurements of love. Do we not remember when the Lover of our souls first cast a spell upon us and charmed us away from the fascinations of the world! He will do this again and again whenever He sees us likely to be ensnared by evil.
He promises to draw us apart, for there He can best deal with us, and this separated place is not to be a paradise, but a wilderness, since in such a place there will be nothing to take of our attention from our God. In the deserts of affliction the presence of the Lord becomes everything to us, and we prize His company beyond any value which we set upon it when we sat under our own vine and fig tree in the society of our fellows. Solitude and affliction bring more to themselves and to their heavenly Father than any other means.
When thus allured and secluded the Lord has choice things to say to us for our comfort. He "speaks to our heart," as the original has it. Oh, that at this we may have this promise explained in our experience! Allured by love, separated by trial, and comforted by the Spirit of truth, may we know the Lord and sing for joy!

We all love to be high on the mountain top enjoying the closeness of our Lord. Being unencumbered with that which takes place below the crest of the peak. When we descend to the fertile valley floor, that place where the fruit is grown, we miss the sense of closeness of our Maker, becoming afflicted with our toil and struggle. It is here where the Lord secludes us, teaches us, shows us, grows us, in a wondrous display of the Holy Spirit and God's unshakable love for us, His elect.

Thank-you Abba, for loving us and teaching us through Your written Word, The Holy Scripture, The Bible. In Christ's precious name, Amen.

Father God, please bless this washing of ourselves in the word, Amen.


I am very angry with the nations who are at ease; for while I was only a little angry, they furthered the disaster.

Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this--not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way. I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but to him who thinks anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. For if because of food your brother is hurt, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy with your food him for whom Christ died. Therefore do not let what is for you a good thing be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who in this way serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men.

So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. Do not tear down the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but they are evil for the man who eats and gives offense. It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother stumbles. The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin. Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves.

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.

Being Read Like A Book



Yes, brother, let me benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ. (Phm 1:20)


[Father, we seldom see the You in us in the way others do. When we give ourselves to you completely, we pray that what others see is not us, they see You, Amen. ]


I offer that it is a good thing that when the Holy Light of Christ Jesus shines forth from us, that we often have no immediate knowledge of the occurrence. If we did know, it might lead to the temptation of pride. Pride kills.

I often pray that our Lord will grant me with wisdom and discernment, and to be taught to walk as Jesus would walk, hear as Jesus would hear, see as Jesus would see, feel as Jesus would feel, and touch as Jesus would touch.

Just knowing that the Holy Spirit lives inside me releases so much peace. A gentle confidence, a quiet strength. My body and mind is energized the whole of the day. I see the beauty and majesty of the hand of God in every direction. In the Gulf breezes, I can almost smell His breath! God's love for us is intoxicating in that all you think about is pleasing Him, being a vessel, a tool by which His will is done. I am so much in love with my Lord!

As you move about in the course of your daily affairs, every contact, every meeting, every crossing of paths opens the opportunity that the Light of our Lord and His spirit that resides in us will shine arc-light bright in the eyes of someone who is blind but wishes to see. Is lost, and longs to be found.

For many, the only Bible they will ever read......is you! Let His Light shine forth!


[Mighty Lord, thank-you for this time to share. Let each of us discipline our bodies to be living vessels to be filled to the brim with your rich love and mighty Light. Let those who are thirsty reach out, and let us be always ready to share the reason for our salvation, let us be cleaned of the fleshly ways and share the way to eternal life, In Christ's Name, Amen. ]


Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. (2Ti 2:21)

Being Read Like A Book



Yes, brother, let me benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ. (Phm 1:20)


[Father, we seldom see the You in us in the way others do. When we give ourselves to you completely, we pray that what others see is not us, they see You, Amen. ]


I offer that it is a good thing that when the Holy Light of Christ Jesus shines forth from us, that we often have no immediate knowledge of the occurrence. If we did know, it might lead to the temptation of pride. Pride kills.

I often pray that our Lord will grant me with wisdom and discernment, and to be taught to walk as Jesus would walk, hear as Jesus would hear, see as Jesus would see, feel as Jesus would feel, and touch as Jesus would touch.

Just knowing that the Holy Spirit lives inside me releases so much peace. A gentle confidence, a quiet strength. My body and mind is energized the whole of the day. I see the beauty and majesty of the hand of God in every direction. In the Gulf breezes, I can almost smell His breath! God's love for us is intoxicating in that all you think about is pleasing Him, being a vessel, a tool by which His will is done. I am so much in love with my Lord!

As you move about in the course of your daily affairs, every contact, every meeting, every crossing of paths opens the opportunity that the Light of our Lord and His spirit that resides in us will shine arc-light bright in the eyes of someone who is blind but wishes to see. Is lost, and longs to be found.

For many, the only Bible they will ever read......is you! Let His Light shine forth!


[Mighty Lord, thank-you for this time to share. Let each of us discipline our bodies to be living vessels to be filled to the brim with your rich love and mighty Light. Let those who are thirsty reach out, and let us be always ready to share the reason for our salvation, let us be cleaned of the fleshly ways and share the way to eternal life, In Christ's Name, Amen. ]


Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. (2Ti 2:21)

.ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
(Joh 15:7)


Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, we pray with thanksgiving in our hearts for the privilege of prayer and the coming together to study Your Word. We ask the Holy Spirit to guide us and reveal to us the beauty and power behind the spiritual language of the Kingdom, Amen.


Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

--[God truly answers prayer. He delivers on time, every time when the request pleases His sovereign will.]--

Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You. I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; I have no good besides You."

--[ It pleases our Heavenly Father when we openly acknowledge Him as we should, He is the Potter, we are the clay.]--

And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. – In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

--[Pray in a humble fashion, pray from your heart. God created each of us, and He knows us in infinite detail. Just share yourself with Him.]--

Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension. – With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.

--[Don't pray just for yourself, pray for all the Saints, pray for those who willfully turn their backs on the Lord. Pray for our nation, our leaders, our world. Pray for clarity of your Gospel message to others. Pray with thanksgiving in your heart.]--

Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.


Prayer, individual and corporate is our connection to the spiritual dialog of the heavens. Through the indwelling Holy Spirit, our words are translated for the spiritual direct line to our mighty God, our Father as we pray in the name of the Christ Jesus. Pray constantly and be persistent.

Abba Father, we thank-you for Your mercy and grace and for being pleased to hear our pleadings. You are the Creator, we are the created, and we are highly honored to have blessed communication, through prayer, lifting our supplications up and to your ear. Thank-you Father, in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, Hallelujah Amen.

Declaration of Independence

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.



We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.



We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.
