For [we are not] ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. { Rom 1:16-17 KJV}

SABBATH MEDITATIONS

"TZAV" (Command)

Leviticus 6:1-8:36, Ezekiel 36:16-36, 1Corinthians 15:1-58

So he is to lift up from it his handful of the fine flour of the grain offering, with some of its oil and all the frankincense which is on the grain offering, and burn it up as smoke on the altar for a soothing aroma, as its memorial portion to Adonai. Then what is left from it Aaron and his sons are to eat. It is to be eaten as matzah in a holy place, in the courtyard of the Tent of Meeting. (Lev 6:8-9 TLV)

SUNDAY MESSAGE

"PALM SUNDAY WEEK"

John Chapters 12-14

[Sing to the Lord, lift up your voices]

OPENING PRAYER

O Mighty God, let us never, ever become indifferent to this season and its global and celestial events. We do not celebrate, we commemorate as we recall with bitter anguish, the death of our King, our Savior, the Messiah by crucifixion...and then...we witness the fulfillment of the WORD and a resurrection as the sun rises on the LORD'S DAY, Sunday, the first day of the New covenant. Give us attentive ears, focused eyes and open souls in which to absorb and embrace the awesomeness of HIS will, Our GOD, Jesus the CHRIST, AMEN

MESSAGE

Jesus, therefore, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. (Joh 12:1)

So they made Him a supper there, and Martha was serving; but Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him. (Joh 12:2)

Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. (Joh 12:3)

But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who was intending to betray Him, said, (Joh 12:4)

"Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and given to poor people?" (Joh 12:5)

Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he had the money box, he used to pilfer what was put into it. (Joh 12:6)

Therefore Jesus said, "Let her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of My burial. (Joh 12:7)

"For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me." (Joh 12:8)

The large crowd of the Jews then learned that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He raised from the dead. (Joh 12:9)

But the chief priests planned to put Lazarus to death also; (Joh 12:10)

because on account of him many of the Jews were going away and were believing in Jesus. (Joh 12:11)

On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, (Joh 12:12) Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written, (Joh 12:14)

"FEAR NOT, DAUGHTER OF ZION; BEHOLD, YOUR KING IS COMING, SEATED ON A DONKEY'S COLT." (Joh 12:15)

The crowd took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, "Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel." (Joh 12:13) In the Hebrew they met Him, shouting, “‘Hoshia-na! Baruch ha-ba b’shem Adonai! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ The King of Israel!” (Joh 12:13 TLV)

C.I. Scofield once wrote this sobering realization; "Celebrated by an unthinking multitude whose real belief is expressed thusly; And the crowds were saying, "This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee."{Mat 21:11}, but there was no welcome from the official representatives of the nation, [Jesus] was soon to hear the multitude shout: "Crucify him."

These things [even] His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him. (Joh 12:16)

So the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him. (Joh 12:17)

For this reason also the people went and met Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign. (Joh 12:18)

So the Pharisees said to one another, "You see that you are not doing any good; look, the world has gone after Him." (Joh 12:19)

Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour had come that He would depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. (Joh 13:1)

During supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Him, (Joh 13:2)

Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come forth from God and was going back to God, (Joh 13:3)

got up from supper, and laid aside His garments; and taking a towel, He girded Himself. (Joh 13:4)

Then He poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. (Joh 13:5)

So He came to Simon Peter. He said to Him, "Lord, do You wash my feet?" (Joh 13:6)

Jesus answered and said to him, "What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand hereafter." (Joh 13:7)

Peter said to Him, "Never shall You wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me." (Joh 13:8)

Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head." (Joh 13:9)

Jesus said to him, "He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you." (Joh 13:10)

For He knew the one who was betraying Him; for this reason He said, "Not all of you are clean." (Joh 13:11)

So when He had washed their feet, and taken His garments and reclined at the table again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? (Joh 13:12)

"You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am. (Joh 13:13)

"If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one anther's feet. (Joh 13:14)

"For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you. (Joh 13:15)

"Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him. (Joh 13:16)

"If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them. (Joh 13:17)

"I do not speak of all of you. I know the ones I have chosen; but it is that the Scripture may be fulfilled, 'HE WHO EATS MY BREAD HAS LIFTED UP HIS HEEL AGAINST ME.' (Joh 13:18)

SUMMARY

"From now on I am telling you before it comes to pass, so that when it does occur, you may believe that I am He. (Joh 13:19)

"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me." (Joh 13:20)

When Jesus had said this, He became troubled in spirit, and testified and said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, that one of you will betray Me." (Joh 13:21)

The disciples began looking at one another, at a loss to know of which one He was speaking. (Joh 13:22)

There was reclining on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. (Joh 13:23)

So Simon Peter gestured to him, and said to him, "Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking." (Joh 13:24)

He, leaning back thus on Jesus' bosom, said to Him, "Lord, who is it?" (Joh 13:25)

Jesus then answered, "That is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him." So when He had dipped the morsel, He took and gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. (Joh 13:26)

After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly." (Joh 13:27)

Now no one of those reclining at the table knew for what purpose He had said this to him. (Joh 13:28)

For some were supposing, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus was saying to him, "Buy the things we have need of for the feast"; or else, that he should give something to the poor. (Joh 13:29)

So after receiving the morsel he went out immediately; and it was night. (Joh 13:30)

Therefore when he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in Him; (Joh 13:31)

if God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and will glorify Him immediately. (Joh 13:32)

"Little children, I am with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, now I also say to you, 'Where I am going, you cannot come.' (Joh 13:33)

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. (Joh 13:34)

"By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." (Joh 13:35)

The hour was late. As they departed from Jerusalem walking to the Garden of Gethsemane. Along the way, Jesus warns; "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: 'I WILL STRIKE THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP OF THE FLOCK WILL BE SCATTERED.' But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee." (Mat 26:31-32)

Having said these words, the apostles still could not connect the dots and realize the horror that was about to unfold. It would be through this horrible event and the events of the past three years of His ministry...that the brilliant LIGHT of Almighty God's mercy and love would finally shine throughout the whole earth! On this Holy PALM SUNDAY, Let us pray...

CLOSING PRAYER

We worship You, love, fear, follow and obey You because You loved us first. To YOU, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, we earnestly pray for Your return, Lord Jesus, AMEN

SUNDAY MESSAGE

"PLOT TO KILL JESUS"

John Chapters 11-12

[Sing to the Lord, lift up your voices]

OPENING PRAYER

O' Father of all creation let Your Holy Light fill this place today, the Lord's day. Grant us open eyes, ears, and souls to receive, absorb, and place into practice, the message You have prepared for us. Guide this preacher in truth in the deliverance of Your Word to this precious congregation; believers gathered in fellowship and longing to receive Your Light in the name of Jesus the Christ, our King and Saviour, AMEN

MESSAGE

In the aftermath of raising Lazarus to life from the grave, many of the Jews who came to Mary, and saw what [Jesus] had done, believed in Him. {Joh 11:45} But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them the things which Jesus had done. Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council, and were saying, "What are we doing? For this man is performing many signs. "If we let Him go on like this, all men will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation." {(Joh 11:46, 47, 48}

It is in this series of verses that we see clearly the motivation of the Temple leadership. Serving GOD was not the priority. It was more of a business arrangement, a memorandum of understanding between the Lord's Priests and the Pagan lusts for power of the ROMANS.

A Thousand years before Jesus ministry began, graft, lust, and indifference raised its ugly sin-laden head in a place called Shiloh. In this tiny town, the senior priest named Eli turned a blind eye to the sinful conduct of his sons, also priests. His boys were fleecing the flock!

(1Sa 2:12-14) Now the sons of Eli were worthless men; they did not know the LORD (13) and the custom of the priests with the people. When any man was offering a sacrifice, the priest's servant would come while the meat was boiling, with a three-pronged fork in his hand. (14) Then he would thrust it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fork brought up the priest would take for himself. Thus they did in Shiloh to all the Israelites who came there.

(1Sa 2:22-25) Now Eli was very old; and he heard all that his sons were doing to all Israel, and how they lay with the women who served at the doorway of the tent of meeting. (23) He said to them, "Why do you do such things, the evil things that I hear from all these people? (24) "No, my sons; for the report is not good which I hear the LORD'S people circulating.

(25) "If one man sins against another, God will mediate for him; but if a man sins against the LORD, who can intercede for him?" But they would not listen to the voice of their father, for the LORD desired to put them to death.

Jesus had clearly seen with His own eyes, the corruption of the Temple. The "Priestly" leadership was deeply engaged in a well coordinated "FLEECING OF THE FLOCK". The money changers, sellers of animals for sacrifice, converting Temple money from outside money {for a fee} then requiring the worshipers to convert their money from the temple coins, back to money {and another fee} for use outside the temple. So many were lining their pockets on the backs of true believers. Jesus saw this in person;

(Joh 2:14-16) And [Jesus] found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business.

When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers' money and overturned the tables. And He said to those who sold doves, "Take these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise!"

(Joh 11:49) But one of the Priestly leaders, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to [those gathered], "You know nothing at all,

(Joh 11:50) nor do you take into account that it is expedient for you that one man die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish."

(Joh 11:51) Now he did not say this on his own initiative, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,

(Joh 11:52) and not for the nation only, but in order that He might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

(Joh 11:53) So from that day on they planned together to kill Him.

(Joh 11:54) Therefore Jesus no longer continued to walk publicly among the Jews, but went away from there to the country near the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim; and there He stayed with the disciples.

(Joh 11:55) Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went up to Jerusalem out of the country before the Passover to purify themselves.

(Joh 11:56) So they were seeking for Jesus, and were saying to one another as they stood in the temple, "What do you think; that He will not come to the feast at all?"

(Joh 11:57) Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where He was, he was to report it, so that they might seize Him.

(Joh 12:1) Jesus, therefore, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.

(Joh 12:2) So they made Him a supper there, and Martha was serving; but Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him.

(Joh 12:3) Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

(Joh 12:4) But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who was intending to betray Him, *said,

(Joh 12:5) "Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and given to poor people?"

(Joh 12:6) Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he had the money box, he used to pilfer what was put into it.

(Joh 12:7) Therefore Jesus said, "Let her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of My burial.

(Joh 12:8) "For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me."

(Joh 12:9) The large crowd of the Jews then learned that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He raised from the dead.

(Joh 12:10) But the chief priests planned to put Lazarus to death also;

(Joh 12:11) because on account of him many of the Jews were going away and were believing in Jesus.

SUMMARY

The last several months have been troubling for our Lord. As our Chief Shepherd He sees how our shallow faith can often become the best friend of Satan. The devil hates to do a lot of heavy lifting and he will always look for the easiest method with which to accomplish his evil. Simply creating doubt is all it takes to prevent advancing the Gospel message from taking root. In that process, the Devil hardly breaks a sweat.

Today, we have made it so easy for him to influence the masses. From the comfort of the devil's recliner, all he needs is the Big Screen TV remote in one hand, and the latest I-Phone in the other. Between Utube, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Snap Chat, and reruns of Andy of Mayberry, all the prince of darkness has to do is point, click or TEXT! Immediately thousands are eagerly buying what he is selling. Millions of God's creation are at grave risk of Eternal Death in the Fires of Hell! Absent of the Lord! Forever. We need to pray.

CLOSING PRAYER

O' Awesome and mighty author of eternity, our God, our Savior, we cast our broken hearts before Your throne and beg for mercy for those who remain on the fence regarding the Gospel truth of Your Word. We are totally helpless without Your grace. We pray Lord to reach us, teach us, show us and grow us that we might be filled with all we need to share the Light with others who remain in darkness, and do so before it is too late. At the very moment of need, O' Lord, fill us with YOU Lord Jesus, AMEN.

SUNDAY MESSAGE

"THE SHEPHERD AND LAZARUS"

John Chapters 10-11

[Sing to the Lord, lift up your voices]

OPENING PRAYER

O' Mighty Father, we are so very blessed to be gathered here on this Holy Day, to worship You, learn from You, and feel the presence of Your holiness in our congregation. Grant us collective open ears, minds, and our very souls to Your Word and message, all in the name of Jesus, the Christ, AMEN.

MESSAGE

As we open our Bibles on this Holy Day, we recognize that His time is near.

(Joh 10:23) It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple in the portico of Solomon.

(Joh 10:24) The Jews then gathered around Him, and were saying to Him, "How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly."

(Joh 10:25) Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father's name, these testify of Me.

(Joh 10:26) "But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep.

(Joh 10:27) "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

(Joh 10:28) and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.

(Joh 10:29) "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

(Joh 10:30) "I and the Father are one."

(Joh 10:31) The Jews picked up stones ... to stone Him.

(Joh 10:37) "If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;

(Joh 10:38) but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father."

(Joh 10:39) Therefore they were seeking again to seize Him, and He eluded their grasp.

(Joh 10:40) And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was first baptizing, and He was staying there.

(Joh 10:41) Many came to Him and were saying, "While John performed no sign, yet everything John said about this man was true."

(Joh 10:42) Many believed in Him there.

(Joh 11:1) Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

(Joh 11:2) It was the Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.

(Joh 11:3) So the sisters sent word to Him, saying, "Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick."

(Joh 11:4) But when Jesus heard this, He said, "This sickness is not to end in death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it."

(Joh 11:5) Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

(Joh 11:6) So when He heard that he was sick, He then stayed two days longer in the place where He was.

(Joh 11:7) Then after this He *said to the disciples, "Let us go to Judea again."

(Joh 11:8) The disciples *said to Him, "Rabbi, the Jews were just now seeking to stone You, and are You going there again?"

(Joh 11:9) Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

(Joh 11:10) "But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him."

(Joh 11:11) This He said, and after that He *said to them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I go, so that I may awaken him out of sleep."

(Joh 11:12) The disciples then said to Him, "Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover."

(Joh 11:13) Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that He was speaking of literal sleep.

(Joh 11:14) So Jesus then said to them plainly, "Lazarus is dead,

(Joh 11:15) and I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe; but let us go to him."

(Joh 11:17) So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days.

(Joh 11:18) Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off;

(Joh 11:19) and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.

(Joh 11:20) Martha therefore, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went to meet Him, but Mary stayed at the house.

(Joh 11:21) Martha then said to Jesus, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.

(Joh 11:22) "Even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You."

(Joh 11:23) Jesus *said to her, "Your brother will rise again."

(Joh 11:24) Martha *said to Him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day."

(Joh 11:25) Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,

(Joh 11:26) and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?"

(Joh 11:27) She *said to Him, "Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world."

(Joh 11:28) When she had said this, she went away and called Mary her sister, saying secretly, "The Teacher is here and is calling for you."

(Joh 11:29) And when she heard it, she *got up quickly and was coming to Him.

(Joh 11:32) Therefore, when Mary came where Jesus was, she saw Him, and fell at His feet, saying to Him, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died."

(Joh 11:33) When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her also weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and was troubled;

(Joh 11:34) Jesus said, "Where have you laid him?" They *said to Him, "Lord, come and see."

(Joh 11:35) Jesus wept. He wept not out of emotion but was moved by the continued shallow belief not only of the family, Mary and Martha, but of the mass of mourners gathered.

He was troubled in His heart and Spirit because so many readily expressed their self confessed belief in Him, but could not seem to take that next confident step, that leap of Faith that instantly destroys all doubt in His Holy Word.

He wept because their FAITH was weak. They could not grasp that which was about to occur before their very eyes! He would not be with them much longer, their faith must grow. Faith in that which they will no longer see; Jesus..in the flesh!

(Joh 11:36) So the Jews were saying, "See how He loved him!"

(Joh 11:37) But some of them said, "Could not this man, who opened the eyes of the blind man, have kept this man also from dying?"

(Joh 11:38) So Jesus, again being deeply moved within, *came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was lying against it.

(Joh 11:39) Jesus *said, "Remove the stone." Martha, the sister of the deceased, *said to Him, "Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days." {in the King James Martha says, "He Stinketh"}

(Joh 11:40) Jesus *said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?"

(Joh 11:41) So they removed the stone. Then Jesus raised His eyes, and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.

(Joh 11:42) "I knew that You always hear Me; but because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me."

(Joh 11:43) When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth."

(Joh 11:44) The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus *said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go."

(Joh 11:45) Therefore many of the Jews who came to Mary, and saw what He had done, believed in Him.

(Joh 11:46) But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them the things which Jesus had done.

(Joh 11:47) Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council, and were saying, "What are we doing? For this man is performing many signs.

(Joh 11:48) "If we let Him go on like this, all men will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation."

(Joh 11:49) But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all,

SUMMARY

The Great Mystery of the Resurrection from the dead to the living is very difficult to grasp. The natural mind cannot see beyond the grave. Unaware that we all are of the Natural and our fleshly tent must be shed and returned to the earth from whence it came. Along the way we then learn, through Holy Scripture, that we are also of the Spiritual, living eternally in Jesus.

CLOSING PRAYER

Almighty and awesome God, Creator of all that there is, or ever will be, what we have learned through scripture this Holy Day is witness and testimony of Your immeasurable power to fashion and mold the elements that influence and guide the progress of Your great will. A will that extends unfathomable distances and spans every generation from the moment of creation to the coming of New Jerusalem. We celebrate this in the name of Jesus the Christ, AMEN

Please come into me, clean me, take me and make me Yours and let me serve from this day forward and forever, Thank-You Jesus, AMEN

If you sincerely prayed with me, your salvation has been assured. {Rom 10:9 KJV} -That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
