Welcome to this week's Parasha "NOACH" (Noah/ Rest)

Genesis 6:9-11:32, Isaiah 54:1-55:5, Luke 1:5-80

(Gen 6:9-14 tlv ) These are the genealogies of Noah. Noah was a righteous man. He was blameless among his generation. Noah continually walked with God. (10) Noah fathered three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. (11) Now the earth was ruined before God, and the earth was filled with violence. (12) God saw the earth, and behold it was ruined because all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. (13) Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh is coming before Me, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Behold, I am about to bring ruin upon them along with the land. (14) Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood. You shall make the ark with compartments and smear pitch on it, both inside and out.

SUNDAY, THE LORD'S DAY

Even during significant storms, even hurricanes, it remains the WILL and Grace of GOD to gather this day, here and around the globe with hundreds of believers, each with the same mission; to WORSHIP through thanksgiving, as we witness The CREATOR and HIS WORD. It is no coincidence or happen-stance that we all have gathered, WORSHIPING as one body together; CITIZENS ETERNAL in HIS KINGDOM to come. Together we grow in His "WORD". PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME! JESUS, the Christ, our SAVIOR!

OPENING PRAYER: Almighty GOD, LORD JESUS, HOLY SPIRIT, by Your grace and mercy You have brought us through the terrible and violent storm. Some lost little, many lost much, and others lost EVERYTHING! Even those who lost all, through their belief in the Christ, Your promise is true, all is made NEW Eternally! In the name above all names, JESUS the CHRIST, we pray AMEN.

 

Let us now consult the "WORD" and discover GOD'S TRUTH in HOLY SCRIPTURE:

"THE STORM IS OVER"

He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He. (Deu 32:4 nkjv) Only HE has the full picture of the past, present and the future. Our observance is effective only from street to street, town to town, state to state. Compared to the ROCK, our LORD, we are BLIND. We MUST rely on HIS view, not ours.

Just weeks ago, Linda and I thought that our home in Florida would not see a major cyclone this season. We and many others were wrong. Within a few days time, a tiny, little, innocent looking depression was lolly-gagging way South in the Gulf. Admittedly we let our guard down figured that we were beyond the lesson of being prepared.

As a famous baseball player once quipped; IT AIN"T OVER TILL IT"S OVER! {Job 26:12 nkjv} He stirs up the sea with His power, And by His understanding He breaks up the storm.

The next day or two we found out how very wrong we all were. This tiny dot on a weather map was heading for us!! Just a few days away. even up to the day of landfall, we were treated to the glorious and awesome beauty of crystal clear skies with no clue the magnitude as it approached. Indeed these are the mere edges of His ways, And how small a whisper we hear of Him! But the thunder of His power who can understand?" (Job 26:14 NKJV)

Windows covered, storm supplies, batteries, etc, were double checked as we prayed for the Lord's guidance and good data on approximate place of landfall. Who knew that our tiny town would be Ground ZERO for a Hurricane named ISAIAS. {Bringer of Salvation} Linda and I Prayed for mercy as we chose to stay put and not get caught in this storm out on the road somewhere. When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. (Pro 1:27 NKJV)

From 6 pm, local, forward, we witnessed the most violent, destroying, terrifying and truly awesome RAW POWER that God has at His disposal was just outside the walls of our little house. Our ears popped with the change in barometric pressure.

Over the next 12 truly terrifying and quite humbling hours, the Lord filled us with a strong sense of peace, almost as if His cloak had been cast over us. This peaceful and comforting gift confirmed that HE was with us who are called His Children, His Flock.

Electric Power just came back on. Six days and nights. Skies at night exploding with more stars than I have ever seen in the sky. When it is dark everywhere around you, the lights no longer wash out the distant starlight. A Gift from the Lord, no worldly noise, nor light, just the majesty and beauty of God's creation. One of God's creatures, my bride, sits at my side. Thank You Lord for Your protection, and for the disconnect from the world...at least for seven days!

I suppose the message that kept reverberating in my mind, especially during the last 8 to 12 of the most violent weather I have ever witnessed. Our Creator has at His disposal immense powers that can cause a mental "charlie-horse" because of its enormity, but at the same time, touch our souls and give us the peace we need to stay clear headed and know, without a single doubt, that HE HAS US IN HIS HAND. It is well with my soul! Praise You Jesus.

 

CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty God, thank-You for this global gathering. These precious eyes reading, learning, growing and then sharing with others the wisdom of the "WORD", of our Master, our CREATOR, our GOD, the only GOD, through hungry souls no matter the tongue, the country, or the land. Your blessings and power endures for ever and ever, and we are forever grateful, Thank You O' Lord Jesus, AMEN

(Joh 1:1-4,14 tlv) In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. (2) He was with God in the beginning. (3) All things were made through Him, and apart from Him nothing was made that has come into being. (4) In Him was life, and the life was the light of men., (14) And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. We looked upon His glory, the glory of the one and only from the Father, full of grace and truth.

JOIN US NOW AS WE REVEAL....

THE "WORD":

HE KNOWS

He knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. (JOB 23:10 kjv) HE KNOWS!!

(Psa 103:14 nkjv) For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust...(Lam 3:33)...He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men.

(2Ti 2:19-21) Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

(Mal 3:3) He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the LORD An offering in righteousness.... And it shall come to pass in all the land," Says the LORD, "That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die, But one-third shall be left in it:... I will bring the one-third through the fire, Will refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say, 'This is My people'; And each one of the [2.8 Billion] saved...will say, 'The LORD is my God.' "...(Zec 13:8-9 )

It should be disturbing to all of us...but not surprising...that TWO THIRDS of the entire population of this earth [8.3 Billion souls] will never know the Kingdom of God. TWO THIRDS [5.5 Billion] will never embrace Jesus the Christ, the only door to the Father, nor will they ever taste eternal joy. Theirs will be utter darkness, with no hope of resolution, eternity in the process of dyeing but never, ever fully dyeing, anguish and pain FOREVER!! This is the "WORD"--> it is the TRUTH.

CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty God, thank-You for this global assembly. These precious eyes reading, learning, growing and then sharing the wisdom of the "WORD" of our Master, our CREATOR, our GOD, the only GOD. Equip every soul, no matter the tongue, the country, or the land with divine reception to absorb these holy words in their hearts and souls. "THE ROCK"

[Jesus] who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; (24) who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. (1Pe 2:23-24)

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. (2Co 5:10)

So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. (13) Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother's way. (Rom 14:12-13 nkjv) --> "Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die. (Eze 18:4)

"Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion," Says the LORD of hosts. "Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones. Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed. (11) Truth shall spring out of the earth, And righteousness shall look down from heaven. Psa 85:10-11 ---> For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. (Jas 2:13)

(Rom 6:23) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the LORD? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me. (22) "Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other; -> Rom 3:26,24 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus, ---> being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. (Isa 45:21-22 nkjv)

Welcome to this week's Parasha "Sukkot" (Tabernacles)

Tonight begins the Festival of Sukkot (Tabernacles)

Here in Israel and around the world, the Jewish People are spending time in the sukkot (plural of sukkah) that they built when Yom Kippur ended just days ago. This holiday is a pilgrimage festival linked to the fall harvest, so it is also known as Chag HaAsif (Festival of Ingathering).

In Biblical times, every Israelite went up to Jerusalem to celebrate Sukkot at the Temple.

 Sukkot is a commemoration of the 40 years that Israel wandered in the wilderness and lived in temporary dwellings following the exodus from Egypt.

Familes and communities "Live in booths [sukkot] for seven days:  All native-born Israelites are to live in booths so your descendants will know that I had the Israelites live in booths when I brought them out of Egypt.'"  (Leviticus 23:42–43)

 This holiday is a very joyous one, so much so that it is also called Z'man Simchateinu, the Season of Rejoicing!

"On the first day you are to take choice fruit from the trees, and palm fronds, leafy branches and poplars, and rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days."  (Leviticus 23:40, see also Nehemiah 8:15)

 Sukkot, which follows right after Rosh HaShanah (Day of Judgment) and Yom Kippur (the day the judgment is sealed), represents renewed fellowship with God.

REJOICE IN HOPE, DISPLAYING THE MARKS OF THE TRUE CHRISTIAN

The Apostle Paul teaches in Romans chapter 12

Rom 12:9-21 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. (10) Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; (11) not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; (12) rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, (13) contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. (14) Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

(15) Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. (16) Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.

(17) Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. (18) If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. (19) Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord. (20) "BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD." “Give ear [Ha’Azinu], Oh heavens, and I will speak …”  (Deuteronomy 32:1)

Last Parasha, Nitzavim-Vayelech concluded with Moses foreseeing that Israel would turn away from their covenant with God, causing Him to hide His face from them.  Still, Moses promised that the words of the Torah would not be “forgotten out of the mouths of their descendants.”  (Deuteronomy 31:21)

Let us now consult the "WORD" and determine GOD'S TRUTH in HOLY SCRIPTURE: "STAY HERE AND WATCH WITH ME" Matt 26:38 LX665-38

THE "WORD":

Jesus and the eleven disciples had just departed the upper room in Jerusalem heading for the Garden of Gethsemane. The Passover feast was done, Jesus washed the feet of the 12, and supped with them eating unleavened BREAD also know as Matzos, and WINE.

Here in Matthew Chapter 26 is the manner of conduct in the Holy Sacrament of the LORD'S SUPPER. As the BREAD is taken and the body nourished, the act of receiving of the name of the Lord JESUS, emblematically, into us as nourishment for the flesh and the Holy Spirit, soon to reside among your spirit (soul /mind). When you eat and drink, do so in glory to the savior Christ Jesus. (Matt 26:26 af)

Departing Jerusalem As they walked toward a garden of peace;

(Mat 26:31-45 nasb) Then Jesus *said to them, "You will all fall away because of Me this night, for it is written, 'I WILL STRIKE DOWN THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP OF THE FLOCK SHALL BE SCATTERED.' (32) "But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee."

(33) But Peter said to Him, "Even though all may fall away because of You, I will never fall away." (34) Jesus said to him, "Truly I say to you that this very night, before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times." (35) Peter *said to Him, "Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You." All the disciples said the same thing.

  

(36) Then Jesus *came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and *said to His disciples, "Sit here while I go over there and pray." (37) And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be grieved and distressed. (38) Then He *said to them, "My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me."

(39) And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will." (40) And He *came to the disciples and *found them sleeping, and *said to Peter, "So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour? (41) "Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

(42) He went away again a second time and prayed, saying, "My Father, if this cannot pass away unless I drink it, Your will be done." (43) Again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. (44) And He left them again, and went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.

(45) Then He *came to the disciples and *said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. (Mat 26:31-45 nasb)

The betrayal of our Lord was completed, Judas led the accusers right to Him. Taking Him into custody, He was arrested then taken away. The prophetic words of the Christ regarding the abandonment by His disciples then took place, they all ran away and Jesus was now alone and facing death.

There is no reasonable doubt that Jesus had likely witnessed the horror of crucifixion at least once during the course of His tender 33 years. He being fully God and Fully Flesh, may have felt an autonomic systemic reaction in His flesh knowing full well that which He would soon face and suffer.

Many find this portion of the chapter to be ultra sad. Despite three years together, his followers still could not connect the dots. It would be days now until the eleven would finally realize that He did die, He was buried, and He would be rise from the grave. Even then, His half brother finally acknowledged and came to grips with the reality that his brother really was and is and will forever be The CHRIST!

CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty God, thank-You for this global assembly. These precious eyes reading, learning, growing and then sharing the wisdom of the "WORD" of our Master, our CREATOR, our GOD, the only GOD, through hungry souls no matter the tongue, the country, or the land. HAPPY ROSH HaShanah and Yom Teruah!!

On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a sacred assembly. You are to do no laborious work. It is for you a day for sounding the shofar. / “Speak to Bnei-Yisrael, saying: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you are to have a Shabbat rest, a memorial of blowing (shofarot), a holy convocation. (Num 29:1, Lev 23:24 TLV)

SUNDAY, THE LORD'S DAY

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Rom 1:16-17 kjv)

GREETINGS:

Welcome Dearly Beloved. By the WILL and Grace of GOD, we gather this day, here and around the globe with hundreds of believers, each with the same mission; to WORSHIP The CREATOR and HIS WORD. It is no coincidence or happen-stance that we all have gathered, WORSHIPING as one body together; CITIZENS ETERNAL in HIS KINGDOM to come. Together we grow in His "WORD". PRAISE HIS HALLOWED NAME! JESUS, our SAVIOR!

OPENING PRAYER: O' Mighty Father of all Creation, thank You for gathering us together from around the globe to receive Your message in Your "WORD". Open our minds, souls, and hearts to absorb as we read together "LIGHT" of life reflected from the Cross, a reverential reception of the Lord who guides us on a wondrous eternal journey. Permit this Holy study to edify His supreme deity as our Teacher, our Lord and Savior, our KING of KINGS Eternal, THE ALL MIGHTY, AMEN

Let us now consult the "WORD" and determine GOD'S TRUTH in HOLY SCRIPTURE:

 

THE "WORD":

OPEN YOUR EYES

(Gen 3:4-5) The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! (5) "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

(2Co 11:3-4) But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. (4) For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.

(Eph 6:10-11,13-17) ...be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. (11) Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

(14) Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, (15) and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; (16) in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (17) And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Eph 6:10-11,13-17 nasb)

(2Co 2:10-11) But one whom you forgive anything, I forgive also; for indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did it for your sakes in the presence of Christ, (11) so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes. (2Co 2:10-11 nasb)

“You are standing today, all of you, before Adonai your God—the heads of your tribes, your elders, your officials, all the men of Israel, (10) your children, your wives, and the outsider within your camp (from your woodchopper to your water carrier). (11) Each of you is to cross over into the covenant of Adonai your God that He is cutting with you today, and into His oath. (12) “This is in order to confirm you today as His people. So He will be your God, just as He promised you and just as He swore to your fathers—to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. (Deu 29:9-12 TLV)

PROLOGUE : In the Apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians {also know as Judaizers for their belief that many Old Testament ceremonies and practices were binding in the New Testament church. Some even accused Paul of not being the REAL DEAL} Our God never promised any of the work HE commands to be easy. The promise is that HE will be with you to guide you through to the conclusion.

Let us now consult the "WORD" and determine GOD'S WISDOM AND TRUTH in HOLY SCRIPTURE:

THE "WORD":

WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

(Gal 5:16-26) As we open here in chapter five, Paul is addressing the "Judaizers...HE WRITES; I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (17) For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

(18) But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

(19) Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, (20) idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, (21) envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

(22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (24) And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (25) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (26) Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. (Gal 5:16-26 nkjv)

As the Apostle's letter teaches and instructs, edifying as he writes, we have an opportunity to see the contrast between those who belong to Christ and those who certainly do not!

Perhaps we get wrapped around the hub over the term or action "to walk in the Spirit". Jesus is SPIRIT, as is the Father and the Holy Spirit (of GOD). We are FLESH. Flesh is not spirit. However, when we give ourselves completely to Jesus, we, at that moment, CRUCIFY and KILL the worldly flesh. Our full submersion baptism; being buried in the flesh, then raising up out of the water is a public declaration that we now belong to Jesus.

The soul {our mind, thoughts} in us is our SPIRIT. Believers, converts, may now combine our Spirit with the Holy Spirit, His thoughts and directions become our thoughts and direction. His way is now our way.

Walking in the SPIRIT is when your thoughts and actions are in line with the Lord and His Holy Scripture. Allow your Spirit (thoughts) be known to the Holy Spirit in you. Follow His lead, stay on the Holy Path on which HE guides you. That is how you WALK IN THE SPIRIT!  Be HOLY because HE is HOLY!
