CHRIST ETERNAL SENIOR MINISTRIES

THE "WORD"

SEPTEMBER 12/13, 2026 LX664-37

Sabbath Meditations

Welcome to this week's Parasha "L'Shanah Tovah" (May you have a blessed Jewish New Year 5787)

HAPPY ROSH HaShanah and Yom Teruah!!

On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a sacred assembly. You are to do no laborious work. It is for you a day for sounding the shofar. / “Speak to Bnei-Yisrael, saying: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you are to have a Shabbat rest, a memorial of blowing (shofarot), a holy convocation. (Num 29:1, Lev 23:24 TLV)

SUNDAY, THE LORD'S DAY

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Rom 1:16-17 kjv)

GREETINGS:

Welcome Dearly Beloved. By the WILL and Grace of GOD, we gather this day, here and around the globe with hundreds of believers, each with the same mission; to WORSHIP The CREATOR and HIS WORD. It is no coincidence or happen-stance that we all have gathered, WORSHIPING as one body together; CITIZENS ETERNAL in HIS KINGDOM to come. Together we grow in His "WORD". PRAISE HIS HALLOWED NAME! JESUS, our SAVIOR!

OPENING PRAYER: O' Mighty Father of all Creation, thank You for gathering us together from around the globe to receive Your message in Your "WORD". Open our minds, souls, and hearts to absorb as we read together "LIGHT" of life reflected from the Cross, a reverential reception of the Lord who guides us on a wondrous eternal journey. Permit this Holy study to edify His supreme deity as our Teacher, our Lord and Savior, our KING of KINGS Eternal, THE ALL MIGHTY, AMEN

Let us now consult the "WORD" and determine GOD'S TRUTH in HOLY SCRIPTURE:

THE "WORD":

OPEN YOUR EYES

(Gen 3:4-5) The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! (5) "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

(2Co 11:3-4) But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. (4) For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.

(Eph 6:10-11,13-17) ...be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. (11) Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

(14) Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, (15) and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; (16) in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (17) And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Eph 6:10-11,13-17 nasb)

(2Co 2:10-11) But one whom you forgive anything, I forgive also; for indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did it for your sakes in the presence of Christ, (11) so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes. (2Co 2:10-11 nasb)

CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty God, thank-You for this global assembly. These precious eyes reading, learning, growing and then sharing the wisdom of the "WORD" of our Master, our CREATOR, our GOD, the only GOD, through hungry souls no matter the tongue, the country, or the land. Your blessings endure for ever and ever, and we are forever grateful, Thank You O' Lord Jesus, AMEN

THE "WORD" FOR SEPTEMBER 5/6, 2026--WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

CHRIST ETERNAL SENIOR MINISTRIES

THE "WORD"

SEPTEMBER 5/6, 2026 LX663-36

Sabbath Meditations

Welcome to this week's Dual Parasha

"NITZAVIM" (YOU ARE STANDING) + "VAYELECH" (AND HE WENT)

Deu 29:9(10)-31:30, ISA 61:10-63:9, Luke 24:13-43

You are standing today, all of you, before Adonai your God—the heads of your tribes, your elders, your officials, all the men of Israel, (10) your children, your wives, and the outsider within your camp (from your woodchopper to your water carrier). (11) Each of you is to cross over into the covenant of Adonai your God that He is cutting with you today, and into His oath. (12) “This is in order to confirm you today as His people. So He will be your God, just as He promised you and just as He swore to your fathers—to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. (Deu 29:9-12 TLV)

By the WILL and Grace of GOD, we thank You, Lord, for gathering us this day, here and around the globe. Hundreds of believers, each with the same mission; to KNOW and WORSHIP The CREATOR and HIS WORD. It is not by coincidence that you are here with the rest of us, WORSHIPING as one body together; CITIZENS ETERNAL in HIS KINGDOM to come. Together we grow in His "WORD". OPENING PRAYER: O' Mighty Father of all Creation, thank You for gathering us together from around the globe to receive Your message in HOLY SCRIPTURE, Your "WORD". Open our minds, souls, and hearts to receive as we read together in the "LIGHT" reflected from the Cross, a reverential reception of the Lord guiding us on a wondrous eternal journey. Permit this Holy gathering to edify His supreme deity as our Teacher, our Lord and Savior, our KING of KINGS Eternal, THE ALL MIGHTY, AMEN

PROLOGUE : In the Apostle Paul's letter to the Galatians {also know as Judaizers for their belief that many Old Testament ceremonies and practices were binding in the New Testament church. Some even accused Paul of not being the REAL DEAL} Our God never promised any of the work HE commands to be easy. The promise is that HE will be with you to guide you through to the conclusion.

Let us now consult the "WORD" and determine GOD'S WISDOM AND TRUTH in HOLY SCRIPTURE:

THE "WORD":

WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

(Gal 5:16-26) As we open here in chapter five, Paul is addressing the "Judaizers...HE WRITES; I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (17) For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

(18) But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

(19) Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, (20) idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, (21) envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

(22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (24) And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (25) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (26) Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. (Gal 5:16-26 nkjv)

As the Apostle's letter teaches and instructs, edifying as he writes, we have an opportunity to see the contrast between those who belong to Christ and those who certainly do not!

Perhaps we get wrapped around the hub over the term or action "to walk in the Spirit". Jesus is SPIRIT, as is the Father and the Holy Spirit (of GOD). We are FLESH. Flesh is not spirit. However, when we give ourselves completely to Jesus, we, at that moment, CRUCIFY and KILL the worldly flesh. Our full submersion baptism; being buried in the flesh, then raising up out of the water is a public declaration that we now belong to Jesus.

The soul {our mind, thoughts} in us is our SPIRIT. Believers, converts, may now combine our Spirit with the Holy Spirit, His thoughts and directions become our thoughts and direction. His way is now our way.

Walking in the SPIRIT is when your thoughts and actions are in line with the Lord and His Holy Scripture. Allow your Spirit (thoughts) be known to the Holy Spirit in you. Follow His lead, stay on the Holy Path on which HE guides you. That is how you WALK IN THE SPIRIT!  Be HOLY because HE is HOLY!

CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty God, thank-You for this global assembly. Your precious eyes are reading, learning, growing and then sharing the wisdom of the "WORD" of our Master, our CREATOR, our GOD, the only GOD, with and through hungry souls no matter the tongue, the country, or the land. THE "WORD" FOR AUGUST 29/30, 2026, LX662-35--Where is their God?

CHRIST ETERNAL SENIOR MINISTRIES

THE "WORD"

AUGUST 29/30, 2026 LX662-35

Sabbath Meditations

Welcome to this week's Parasha "KI Tavo" (When You enter)

Deuteronomy 26:1-29:9, Isaiah 60:1-22, 1 Peter 2:1-25

Now when you enter the land that Adonai your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it, (2) you are to take some of the first of all the produce of the soil, which you gather from your land that Adonai your God is giving you, put it in a basket and go to the place Adonai your God chooses to make His Name dwell. (3) You are to go to the kohen in charge in those days and say to him, ‘I declare today to Adonai your God, that I have entered into the land Adonai swore to our fathers to give us.’ (Deu 26:1-3 tlv)

Permit this Holy inquiry to edify His supreme deity as our Teacher, our Lord and Savior, our KING of KINGS Eternal, THE ALL MIGHTY, AMEN

PROLOGUE : Elijah was on a mission from the REAL and ONLY GOD. The Lord had Elijah deliver an offer to the foreign God Priests, one they could not pass by!! Elijah explained then asked if they were on board. He said "Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the LORD, and the God who answers by fire, He is God." And all the people said, "That is a good idea." (1Ki 18:24 nasb)

The mighty demonstration brought fire from the heavens and destroyed the offering, the altar including the water filled ditch that surrounded the sacrificial space. Those who were the priests of the false God were then killed before the Lord...the REAL LORD!

Satan's version of god does not promise truths, his pitch assures self fulfillment, self loving, self prosperity, self godliness. The devil markets himself as the god of the world. Riches, power, influence, fame, glory, worshiping ones self...who just happens to drive a brand new BMW and live in a multi-million dollar mansion.

Let us now consult the "WORD" and determine GOD'S TRUTH in HOLY SCRIPTURE:

THE "WORD":

WHERE IS THEIR GOD?

Why should the nations say, "Where, now, is their God?" But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases. Their idols are silver and gold, The work of man's hands. They have mouths, but they cannot speak; They have eyes, but they cannot see; They have ears, but they cannot hear; They have noses, but they cannot smell; They have hands, but they cannot feel; They have feet, but they cannot walk; They cannot make a sound with their throat. Those who make them will become like them, Everyone who trusts in them. (Psa 115:2-8 nasb)

(Psa 116:1-18 nasb) I love the LORD, because He hears My voice and my supplications. (2) Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.

(3) The cords of death encompassed me And the terrors of Sheol came upon me; I found distress and sorrow. (4) Then I called upon the name of the LORD: "O LORD, I beseech You, save my life!" (5) Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yes, our God is compassionate.

(6) The LORD preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. (7) Return to your rest, O my soul, For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. (8) For You have rescued my soul from death, My eyes from tears, My feet from stumbling. (9) I shall walk before the LORD In the land of the living.

(10) I believed when I said, "I am greatly afflicted." (11) I said in my alarm, "All men are liars."

(12) What shall I render to the LORD For all His benefits toward me? (13) I shall lift up the cup of salvation And call upon the name of the LORD. (14) I shall pay my vows to the LORD, Oh may it be in the presence of all His people. (15) Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His godly ones.

(16) O LORD, surely I am Your servant, I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid, You have loosed my bonds. (17) To You I shall offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving, And call upon the name of the LORD. (18) I shall pay my vows to the LORD, Oh may it be in the presence of all His people. (Psa 116:1-18 nasb)

WHO or WHAT do you worship? Jesus died and shed His Holy Blood on that old cross. Being a perfect man, fully flesh, fully God, He gave Himself to be executed in your place. Everyone of you carry the sentence of eternal death; Jesus is and was and will continue to be the ONLY Propitiation {exchange} of His blood on your behalf; cleansing you once and for ever from all of your sins, filling you with His Holy spirit, and granting life eternal. Once again I ask: WHO or WHAT do you worship?

CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty God, thank-You for this global assembly. These precious eyes reading, learning, growing and then sharing the wisdom of the "WORD" of our Master, our CREATOR, our GOD, the only GOD, through hungry souls no matter the tongue, the country, or the land. THE "WORD" FOR AUGUST 22/23, 2026 LX661-34 WISDOM

CHRIST ETERNAL SENIOR MINISTRIES

THE "WORD"

AUGUST 22/23, 2026 LX661-34

Sabbath Meditations

Welcome to this week's Parasha "KI TETZE" (When you go Out)

Deuteronomy 21:10-25:19, Isaiah 54:1-10, 1Corinthians 5:1-5

When you go out to war against your enemies, and Adonai your God hands them over to you and you take them captive...

(Deu 21:10 TLV)

SUNDAY, THE LORD'S DAY

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Rom 1:16-17 kjv)

GREETINGS: Hello beloved! May the peace of our Lord Jesus be with you today and every day, Amen.

SYNOPSIS: Wisdom. A most important character trait and often elusive to the flesh. Wisdom is readily available or...readily elusive by choice. Who's choice you ask? YOURS! Lets travel together along the trail of wisdom and see why WISDOM is such a big deal!

OPENING PRAYER: Almighty Creator, Father, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, thank You for gathering us together today, in fellowship, that we might grow and be collectively accountable to follow the Lord's will and guidance. Open our eyes, ears and souls so that we might receive the Lord's Message for us on this Holy day, through Jesus, AMEN.

THE "WORD":

WISDOM

Our source of wisdom and Biblical justification comes to us from Proverbs and the Book of James, along with sage advise from a Grandfather Curly Logan, My Grand Father on my mother's side.

Grandpa's nickname was "Curly". He had pure white hair and when the humidity pressed upwards, his white hair would curl up, thus the moniker "Curly". He was a career Rail Road man, staring as a fireman on steam locomotives, then engineer graduating to Turntable Master and eventually section foreman.

A man of few words but used this preface a lot!: "A WISE MAN WOULD"... The statement was a caution preceding many short conversations, especially when guiding a precocious kid like me! If his advise was disregarded, as this kid would often do, I learned quickly that my day was about to turn ugly! I had done something very UNWISE!

As the Section Foreman Grandpa was responsible for a very long stretch of track, and included constant inspections of tracks and ties along with sidings and switches. Weeding was also on that list. that was the task on the following day.

Gramps hired me to operate the Motor Car and keep it slow, nice and easy with no jerky starts or stops while the crew on the flat bed could burn away the weeds which could impend the tracks if not maintained. In the past, I had done very well operating the Motor Car. I was 10 years old and was taught, by my grandfather. He would always tell me that WISDOM was required when operating any railroad equipment!

Did I do the WISE thing that day? NOPE! My cavalier and UNWISE goofing around caused one of the workers to tumble off of the flat trailer, while holding a long handled burning blow torch. The worker was not hurt, no fire extension, but Grandpa immediately FIRED ME! In front of the crew He told me to "Get my rear-end back to the section house!" (a mile away.) GO...GIT!

That was the longest and loneliness mile I ever walked. The penalty for being UNWISE! Gramps FIRED ME! In adulthood, the lack of wisdom can kill. I learned a very WISE lesson that day, long ago.

Turning to Proverbs now, we focus on an "UNWISE" woman and compare the result with a woman who had and practiced WISDOM;

(Pro 9:13-18) (13) The woman of folly is boisterous, She is naive and knows nothing. (14) She sits at the doorway of her house, On a seat by the high places of the city, (15) Calling to those who pass by, Who are making their paths straight: (16) "Whoever is naive, let him turn in here," And to him who lacks understanding she says, (17)"Stolen water is sweet; And bread eaten in secret is pleasant." (18) But he does not know that the dead are there, That her guests are in the depths of [HELL] {Sheol.}

This same scene plays out hundreds of times each day all around the world. God does not send us to HELL. WE send ourselves willingly through the decisions we make, the people we associate with, in whom we believe!

A dear friend recently told me about a bumper sticker that got his attention. The sticker simple read;

ETERNITY BOUND?

SMOKING? or NON-SMOKING?

We looked at each other in silence for a few seconds, then he said "Kinda sums it all up, huh? YES...I responded.

(Pro 9:1-12) [Another woman whose name is Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars; [meaning that her foundation was built to PERFECTION, the number SEVEN signifies as such] (2) She has prepared her food, she has mixed her wine; She has also set her table; (3) She has sent out her maidens, she calls From the tops of the heights of the city: (4) "Whoever is naive, let him turn in here!" To him who lacks understanding she says, (5) "Come, eat of my food And drink of the wine I have mixed. (6) "Forsake your folly and live, And proceed in the way of understanding." (7) He who corrects a scoffer gets dishonor for himself, And he who reproves a wicked man gets insults for himself. (8) Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you, Reprove a wise man and he will love you. (9) Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser, Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning. (10) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (11) For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you. (12) If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, And if you scoff, you alone will bear it. (Pro 9:1-12 nasb)

They call this WISDOM. Those who are lacking in this regard (and there are so many) are on the Super Highway to Hell, and the SMOKING SECTION.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

(Jas 1:5)

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the WISDOM from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

(Jas 3:13-18)

Nearly 2/3rds of the earth's human population will decide to ignore the warnings and willfully commit themselves to eternity in total darkness, burning forever in the fires of Hell, always in the active process of dying. Dying that never will be completed, the pain, agony and separation from God suffering forever. Our decisions, our behavior, our egos, and lack of WISDOM all combine to reward the effort with pain and sorrow instead of joy and happiness in His Light. Remember, it is your decision! Be wise, choose well. The end of days is nigh!

CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty God, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, we pray Thee open the eyes of those who are blind to the danger. Of those who are hopelessly lost having forgotten the narrow way. Open their eyes and ears, O' Lord, to hear and see the only way, being clearly written in Holy Scripture. May their hard hearts be softened from the inside out, and may their blind eyes SEE and they who are lost be FOUND. In the name above all names JESUS the CHRIST, AMEN

THE "WORD" FOR AUGUST 15/16, 2026 LX660-33 - TRUST IN THE LORD/FEAR OF GOD

CHRIST ETERNAL SENIOR MINISTRIES

THE "WORD"

AUGUST 15/16, 2026 LX660-33

Sabbath Meditations

Welcome to this week's Parasha "SHOFTIM" (Judges)

Deuteronomy 16:18-21:9, Isaiah 51:12-52:12, Mark 14:53-64

Judges and officers you are to appoint within all your gates that Adonai your God is giving you, according to your tribes; and they are to judge the people with righteous judgment. You are not to twist justice—you must not show partiality or take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and distorts the words of the righteous."

(Deu 16:18-19 TLV)

SUNDAY, THE LORD'S DAY

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Rom 1:16-17 kjv)

GREETINGS:

Welcome Dearly Beloved. By the WILL and Grace of GOD, we gather this day, here and around the globe, hundreds of us, all with the same mission; to WORSHIP The CREATOR and HIS WORD. Imagine, the author HIMSELF of the ENTIRE UNIVERSE has purposely ordained this glorious plan. It is not by happen-stance that you are here with the rest of us, WORSHIPING as one body together as CITIZENS ETERNAL in HIS KINGDOM to come. Together we grow in His "WORD". PRAISE HIS HALLOWED NAME! JESUS, our SAVIOR!

PROLOGUE : We sometimes stumble over the narrow or difficult failing to look beyond that which appears right before our faces. On one or more occasions we tend to get "VAPOR LOCKED" over a single word or phrase. In Bible interpretation expanding the field of view often allows the Lord to guide your gaze to a greater understanding of His "WORD". The BIBLE interprets itself.

OPENING PRAYER: O' Mighty Father of all Creation, thank You for gathering us together from around the globe to receive Your "WORD". Open our minds, souls, and hearts as we read together LIGHT reflected from the Cross, a reverential reception of the Lord guiding us on a wondrous eternal journey during our brief time on this planet. Permit this Holy inquiry to edify His supreme deity as our Teacher, our Lord and Savior, our KING of KINGS Eternal, THE ALL MIGHTY, AMEN

THE "WORD":

TRUST IN THE LORD / FEAR OF GOD

The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted. Many seek the ruler's favor, But justice for man comes from the LORD. (Pro 29:25-26 nasb) In the english-western translations, there are some who stumble over the word "fear" when we are taught to FEAR the LORD.

The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. And He will be the stability of your times, A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge.

The FEAR of the LORD is his treasure. (Isa 33:5-6 nasb) Perhaps if we add another word preceding FEAR, it might soften our view easing a greater TRUST in the Creator of...EVERYTHING! Including YOU! A word like, A HEALTHY FEAR, or maybe A REVERENTIAL FEAR.

I Loved my dad, and I trusted him, but I had a sincere and almost BIBLICAL fear when facing punishment at his hand for some dumb thing that I had done. Having a RESPECTFUL level of FEAR of my father side-tracked a bunch of return engagements to the Leather-strap-of-knowledge applied to my seat of education!

So much more, our Holy Father and that He deserves to be loved, trusted and FEARED in a reverential and God respecting manner.

When we think about FEARING GOD, think of REVERENTIAL FEAR. A reverential Fear of our Lord and His mighty power...a power so awesome that we cannot begin to comprehend it in our tiny brains.

Mankind and critters can kill the human body. It happens everyday. Only GOD who created YOU can not only kill the body, He can destroy your very soul...forever! Reverential FEAR is a good thing!

The Psalms inform us that the LORD is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens. Who is like the LORD our God, Who is enthroned on high, Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in heaven and in the earth?

He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the needy from the ash heap, To make them sit with princes, With the princes of His people. He makes the barren woman abide in the house As a joyful mother of children. Praise YOU LORD! (Psa 113:4-9 nasb)

The consistency radiating from our Lord fosters TRUST. As He is LOVE, HE also is TRUST. He is the same today from before creation, and will be the same forever. He is IMMUTABLE...He does not change! As a people, a nation, our money carries the bold and beautiful statement reflecting the contents of hearts and souls of it's citizens...IN GOD WE TRUST. May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ. (2Thes 3:5 nasb) Only when you use the BROAD VIEW will you discover and see the narrow opening on the narrow road leading to the Kingdom of Almighty GOD!

CLOSING PRAYER: Almighty God, thank-You for this global assembly. These precious eyes reading, learning, growing and then sharing the wisdom of the "WORD" of our Master, our CREATOR, our GOD through hungry souls no matter the tongue, the country, or the land. Your blessings endure for ever and ever, and we are forever grateful, Thank You O' Lord Jesus, AMEN

THE "WORD" FOR AUGUST 8/9, 2026 LX359-32 --FINISHING THE RACE WELL

CHRIST ETERNAL SENIOR MINISTRIES

THE "WORD"

AUGUST 8/9, 2026 LX659-32

Sabbath Meditations

Welcome to this week's Parasha "Re'eh" (See / Behold)

Deuteronomy 11:26-16:17, Shabbat Rosh Chodesh: Isaiah 66:1-24,

Numbers 28:9-15, Matthew 7:7-29

See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse— the blessing, if you listen to the mitzvot of Adonai your God that I am commanding you today, but the curse, if you do not listen to the mitzvot of Adonai your God, but turn from the way I am commanding you today, to go after other gods you have not known." (Deu 11:26-28 TLV)

FINISH THE RACE WELL

...Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb 12:1-2 nasb)

GREETINGS: Welcome Beloved. By the WILL and Grace of GOD, we gather this day, around the globe, hundreds of us, all with the same mission; to WORSHIP The CREATOR. Imagine, the author HIMSELF of the ENTIRE UNIVERSE has purposely built this glorious plan. It is not by chance that you are here with the rest of us, at the same time WORSHIPING together as CITIZENS ETERNAL in HIS KINGDOM to come. PRAISE HIS HALLOWED NAME! JESUS!

PROLOGUE : The Apostles Paul, John, and others allude in their individual messages in The Holy Scriptures that our very brief journey on this earth might be well served by the following example; That from beginning to end, the brief 70, 80, 90 years of fleshly life allotted to us by our Creator evaporates quickly! From our first breath the paramount goal should always be to Finish the Race Well!

OPENING PRAYER: O' Mighty Father of all Creation, thank You for gathering us together from around the globe to receive Your "WORD". Open our minds, souls, and hearts as we read together reflections from the Cross, a reverential review of the Lord's brief time amongst us on this planet. Permit this Holy inquiry to edify His supreme deity as our Lord and Savior, our KING of KINGS Eternal, THE ALL MIGHTY, AMEN

THE "WORD":

FINISH WELL

Brigadier General Michael Ferguson

As the Apostles Paul and John alluded to in his writings, U.S. Army Brigadier General Michael Ferguson brings to the present a message on the importance of FINISHING WELL:

In an age of so little perseverance I find these words are ringing in my ears like the background music on an elevator. Fight the good fight; keep the faith; finish the race.

I can't count how many times I heard Pastor Arnold Lastinger speak these words of challenge into my life. As a young man with no experience I probably rolled my eyes, but as time has passed this holy background music has become more like the soundtrack of a timeless movie. (Yes, I downloaded the Star Wars movie score in anticipation of Episode VII. Thank you, John Williams.)

On December 8th, Pastor Lastinger went absent from the body and present with the Lord. What a soul-marking moment it was for me, as I watched him worship until the end, using his dying breath and waning strength to lift his hands to the God he longed for.

Several days later I flew to Mississippi where I spent time with another one of my heroes, John Perkins. Due to his age and health concerns his daughter makes clear that he needs boundaries on his schedule. Yet when he starts talking about Jesus and justice and the greatness of God, he just won't stop. I'm serious. One night, after hours of conversation, I had to plead with him to go home and go to bed, as it was approaching 10:00. As we finished, he invited me to be a part of the Bible study he was leading the next day. At 5:30 the next morning. I've never heard of a Bible study at 5:30 in the morning. But sure enough, there he was, long before the sun would rise, leading a room full of men through Romans 9. It was like watching a child opening a present on Christmas morning. Joy. Energy. Wonder. 85 years of age and he is still burning.

A week earlier, I listened as Pastor Lastinger described his peace and contentment and anticipation of heaven. "It's all true," he told me. "When I preached funerals in my 20's I thought I believed it. But 50 years later I realize, it's all true. And it works!" he explained with a peace I can't explain. But then I heard something else: his longing for his Savior. The closest comparison I have is like a bridegroom getting ready for his honeymoon. He was longing for Jesus. On his deathbed he was still burning.

I want to burn till the end.

In an age of so little perseverance these two men stand tall. Their voices have weight. And their entire life has become their message. Neither has tried to stay relevant, and that is part of what makes them so. Their transcendence is their relevance. Oh how it has fed my soul to be exposed to men whose lives carry such a rare grace. Some things can only be said after years. Or decades. Or a lifetime. And the only way you get this kind of gravitas is to persevere. To endure. To finish your race.

What a lesson for young leaders.

I've heard it said that it takes 20 years to make a man or woman of God. But I'm starting to think it takes a lifetime. In a culture that bows before the shrine of youth and worships to the tune of the latest one hit wonder, it becomes difficult to discern when timeless words are being written and the truest lives are being lived. But I long for this.

SUMMARY:

Did these men give me clues about how to persevere? Sure. Both would tell me stay curious. Keep learning. Figure out how to handle your pain. Set up accountability relationships to deal with temptation. But at the end of the day both of these men most fed me because their obsession with Jesus. I would meet with Pastor Lastinger seeking wisdom, and it was there. But in the middle of a lunch meeting he would break down in tears when he began to speak of Jesus. I flew to Mississippi seeking justice, and it was there. But what I found most was a man dripping with the Author of justice. --Army BG Michael Ferguson

September 4, 1938 --January 18, 2020

Finish well, my friend.

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. (1Co 9:24-25 nasb)
