OPENING PRAYER

Almighty God and Author of all creation, with great humility we thank-You for gathering us in fellowship to worship Your Holy Word. May our ears, hearts and souls be opened to the Word and be granted the ability to apply the lessons to our daily walk before You. In a few days we will celebrate the birth of our Savior and on this Holy Day in HIS precious name JESUS, we pray, AMEN

MESSAGE

The message, JOHN & MARY is a preview of wondrous events that will overtake and change, forever, the world and universe in which we live:

"THE BIRTH OF JOHN THE BAPTIST AND THE ANNUNCIATION OF MARY"

We open our Bibles to the Gospel According to Mark 1: 1-4; The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, as it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “I will send my messenger ahead of you, [John] who will prepare your way” - “a voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ ” And so John the Baptist will appear in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. Let us start at the beginning...

Turn with me to Luke, Chapter One and begin in verse five:

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years.

So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division,

according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the same time. It was during these hours that the Temple was empty, no one but the priest was allowed inside while these sacraments were being accomplished.

With no pre-warning what-so-ever, an Angel of the Lord appeared to Zacharias standing on the right side of the altar. Being startled, fear swept over him. {Luk 1:11 NKJV}

But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. [God would pre-ordain John to be a Nazarite from birth. Blessed and selected to prepare the way for the Lord of Lords, The Messiah, Jesus.]  {see Nazarites Numbers Chapter 6} He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.

And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, 'to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,' and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." {Luk 1:13-17 NKJV}

Being absolutely overwhelmed with what his eyes were seeing and his ears hearing, Zacharias probably displayed some "attitude" toward Gabriel, the Angel of the Lord, and was promptly made mute. Zacharias could not speak! A month or so later, his bride Elizabeth became pregnant, and JOHN THE BAPTIST WAS ON THE WAY!

According to the Bible, Elizabeth was about six months along in her pregnancy when the Angel of the Lord, Gabriel, brought "glad-tidings" and Awe to this young woman of about 15 years of age a virgin:

Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.

And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!"

But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was.

 

Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end."

Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?"

And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.

 

Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible."

Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her. {Luk 1:26-38 NKJV}

SUMMARY/APPLICATION

Now Elizabeth's full time came for her to be delivered, and she brought forth a son.

When her neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her.

 

So it was, on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child; and they would have called him by the name of his father, Zacharias. His mother answered and said, "No; he shall be called John."

But they said to her, "There is no one among your relatives who is called by this name." So they made signs to his father--what he would have him called. And he asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, saying, "His name is John." So they all marveled.

 

Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, praising God. Then fear came on all who dwelt around them; and all these sayings were discussed throughout all the hill country of Judea.

And all those who heard them kept them in their hearts, saying, "What kind of child will this be?" And the hand of the Lord was with him. {Luke 1:57-66 NKJV}

The stage is now set through the will of God himself. Two precious souls selected before their substance was, and given the privilege of being the first of the flesh to prepare and bring forth the Son of God. Our job is to make our hearts and souls ready to receive Him, Love Him, Worship Him and Obey Him for ever more!

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, Three days from now we will all gather with our family and friends to celebrate the birth of Your Son, Jesus the Christ, The Messiah. Open our eyes and hearts to the reason we gather as we do. It is not about the gifts, or the trees, or the lights, or the music. It is all about the greatest gift to mankind of all time. The fulfillment of the promise of a Savior who offers Eternal Salvation to those who receive Him. In this peaceful celebration, let this be the reason for the season in the name of Jesus, our Savior and God, AMEN.

THE CALL

OPENING PRAYER

Awesome and wonderful Creator of all that there is, thank-You for gathering us together in fellowship to worship and learn through Your Holy Word. Grant us open ears, hearts and souls to receive Your message and we pray for guidance in embracing its lessons in our walk before You. IN Jesus we pray, AMEN

MESSAGE

Thank-You Holy Spirit for guiding us to the Book of Isaiah on this Holy day. Isaiah, The son of Amoz, and his calling from God gives us a wonderful prophetic foundation because many of the passages in this book are among the finest in all of Bible literature.

There are many scholarly opinions that the Book of Isaiah could be called the FIFTH GOSPEL since there are more individual prophetic Messianic visions than any other book of our Bible.

The majority of his God inspired Messianic visions, nearly 740 years before the birth of Christ, have already been fulfilled with great accuracy. There are several others yet to be revealed in the days ahead.

Isa 43:1-13 NASB

1. But now, thus says the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!

2. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.

3. "For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place.

4. "Since you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life.

5. "Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, And gather you from the west.

6. "I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' And to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring My sons from afar And My daughters from the ends of the earth,

7. Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made."

8. Bring out the people who are blind, even though they have eyes, And the deaf, even though they have ears.

9. All the nations have gathered together So that the peoples may be assembled. Who among them can declare this And proclaim to us the former things? Let them present their witnesses that they may be justified, Or let them hear and say, "It is true."

10. "You are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.

11. "I, even I, am the LORD, And there is no savior besides * Me.

12. "It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, And there was no strange god among you; So you are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And I am God.

13. "Even from eternity I am He, And there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?" {NASB}

As He says in verse 15, "I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your KING!" {NKJV}

With the recent events in the middle east, the overthrow of Damascus, and the release of Syria's long nightmare under Assad, the entire Holy Land is in flux right now. Iran, formerly known as Persia is suddenly looking over their shoulders as Israel's military pushes back over the events in Gaza. Eventually, peace will come but not without struggles. The arm of God is the conductor of these events, and through prophesy uttered are these precious words;

How lovely on the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace And brings good news of happiness, Who announces salvation, And says to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices, They shout joyfully together; For they will see with their own eyes When the LORD restores Zion.

Break forth, shout joyfully together, You waste places of Jerusalem; For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.

The LORD has bared His holy arm In the sight of all the nations, That all the ends of the earth may see The salvation of our God. {Isa 52:7-10 NASB}

Just reading these words causes my soul and spirit to resonate in this day, some two-thousand seven hundred years ago! Did you notice the turn of the page as God the Father begins speaking about and as His servant, who is yet to come. We know His name. SO do you!!

The Lord, our God is telling all who have ears to hear that something WONDERFUL is coming. The WORD is being passed, as we read in Isaiah Chapter 53, verses 1 through 12; 1. Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

2. For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.

3. He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

4. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.

5. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.

6. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.

7. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.

8. By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off out of the land of the living For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due?

9. His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

10. But the LORD was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand.

SUMMARY/APPLICATION

11. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities.

12. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors.

{Isa 53: 1-12 NASB}

The last sentence is PAST TENSE, 684 years before the birth of Christ. It means it was done the moment God spoke.

CLOSING PRAYER

Father God, in this season with Christmas on the immediate horizon, let us not be blind to the smoke in the skies of the middle-east and the Holy land. Hear our fervent prayers of divine protection of Israel, open their eyes to see Your mighty arm moving amongst and against the enemies of Zion. Let all victories be Your victories O' Mighty Lord, in the name of Jesus the Christ, The Messiah, Amen and AMEN.

"BLOOD...THE ONLY CURE"

...According to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. -Heb 9:22 NKJV

OPENING PRAYER

Almighty God, it is with humble hearts that we praise You for gathering all of us together in worship and fellowship on this Holy Day. Grant us to be attentive, filled with Holy desire so as to receive and grow from Your message. May we apply what we learn to our daily walk before You, Lord Jesus, AMEN.

MESSAGE

...According to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. -Heb 9:22 NKJV

Blood. We all have it. Without it, we do not exist. Every air breathing creature on the face of the earth or under the sea all have BLOOD. No BLOOD, no LIFE! 

My personal pronouns are HE and HIS, and as you can plainly see, I'm a Guy. A little blood from a scratch, or a poke during a project and we wear the tiny injury as a badge of a job-well-done! 

Women have a separate set of issues involving BLOOD. Blood announces the arrival of womanhood, childbearing and years later, blood trumpets the call of the HOT FLASHES!  

We take blood seriously. Paramedics, Trauma Nurses and even doctors have long realized that it is the A B C's, AIRWAY--BLEEDING--CIRCULATION ; These are the true life saving heroes when the saving of a life is paramount! 

  GOD takes BLOOD very seriously; Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.  

And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? And [GOD] said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. {Gen 4:9-12, KJV}  

The argument that contributed to the killing of Abel by Cain, his brother, was born out of selfish pride and ego. In a fit of jealousy, the LIFE BLOOD of Abel was spilled by his own blood-brother!  

The Bible has 375 verses and 447 single appearances of the word BLOOD. Our Creator has a great deal of interest in BLOOD: FOR INSTANCE: If the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, and purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

SUMMARY/APPLICATION

When Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people.  

Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.  

But, Remission is not a CURE, UNDER THE LAW! Remission is TEMPORARY! The BLOOD Cure comes from another but ETERNALLY effective Word of GRACE...That WORD is: REGENERATION. Someone shedding HIS BLOOD, paying the full price...in your stead through GRACE, SALVATION, and REGENERATION,...that person is the LORD JESUS!

CLOSING PRAYER

Mighty and loving Creator, Supreme Master of the Universe, with humble hearts we thank-you for Your message on this Holy Day. By Your hand our hearts beat with the circulating rhythm that moves our blood through the body bringing nourishment and healing and LIFE to the whole. Thank-You for opening our eyes, ears and souls to the Horrible sacrifice that Jesus made releasing us from a sentence of eternal death. In the name above all names, JESUS the CHRIST, The ALPHA, The OMEGA, The BEGINNING and the END, NOW AND FOREVER, AMEN.

Sunday Message:

BEHOLD, I CREATE NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH

Isa 65:17 NASB - "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind."

OPENING PRAYER

O' Mighty Creator, Lord Jesus, Awesome God, with humble hearts we thank You for gathering us together to worship in fellowship on this Holy day. Thank-You for the multitude of blessings that You have bestowed upon us. Grant us, we pray, with strong faith, sound doctrine, and a Holy attitude to be Your servant here on this earth and continue in the New Kingdom to come. This we pray in the name above all names, JESUS the CHRIST, AMEN.

MESSAGE

Our opening verse from Isaiah 65:17 transports us to where we plan to camp for a while on this Holy day. For behold, [God said] I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind. This is a very sobering statement by God that we have reached the final season in this earth's oversight by the fleshly human race. Remember the Garden of Eden? The Lord placed us in charge; giving us authority over every living thing on the planet. Based on our present state of affairs around the world, I would shy away from attempting to calculate how well, or poorly we have done as God's stewards. We have quite a mess to deal with.

For just as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make will endure before me, declares the Lord. And it shall be from new moon to new moon and from sabbath to sabbath, all mankind will come to bow down before me, says the Lord. {Isa 66:22-23}

In the New Testament, lets take a look at what Peter has to say on this topic; But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! Peter concludes; But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

This earth, even you and me are now and have always been temporary. The earth, as it is was not made to be eternal. Mankind in the flesh comes from the dust and to dust we return. It is our souls that are eternal.

As I read the scripture in the old and new testaments, and the forecast of the future events, I continue to come away with a realization that seems to be embedded or alluded to in most of the prophesy of the end times and the coming of the new Jerusalem. That premise is simply this; when the Lord removes or destroys...He makes replacement with something much better than that which was before. This will be especially true when the earth will no longer be as we have known it. As horrible as this sounds it will actually happen for those who chose to join the goats and not the sheep. {go to John 3:16-21--->}

What God is replacing all of this with is so much better, so much so that it will be PERFECT! {1 Cor 13:10}- ..but when the perfect comes, the partial [temporary] will be done away.

SUMMARY/APPLICATION

How do you suppose we are to prepare for these God spoken, God commanded events? One Word. JESUS! He is the WORD! If HE is your Lord and you have confessed Him with your mouth, and the Holy Spirit dwells within you, do not fear! As a single building stone in His church, you will be where He is and He will be with you! My heart breaks for those who have refused the Lord. Turned their back to Him. For them there is no hope. Pray for them that before their last earthly breath they recognize their horrible error and will call on the name of Jesus and find salvation.

Let us conclude with the Apostle John who offers this incredible first hand witness account of what we ourselves will see in the New Jerusalem; Rev 21: 1-7; Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming downout of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will be no longer any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." And HE who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He said "Write, for these words are faithful and true."

Then He said to me [John] "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. "He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son." {Rev 21:1-7}

CLOSING PRAYER

Almighty Creator, it was You that gave Your only begotten Son to be the propitiation for Your created beings; providing release by the shedding of His blood, and through confession of our mouths and belief in Him our souls, from an eternal death sentence; that Adam foisted upon all mankind. By Your mighty will, we, Your children, will glory in Your true presence in the New Kingdom Come, and with humble hearts and thanksgiving Forever we praise You Lord Jesus, amen and AMEN!

THE CALL

If you have never invited Jesus to be your Lord and savior, or, if you have in the past yet remain unsure of salvation and forgiveness of sin, Please pray with me now: Lord Jesus I need to fill a hole in my life that follows me where ever I go.
